  1. I just went to the vet and dropped off Sid for his neuter and picked up harry. Harry has a shaved spot on his flank and part of his tail above the base. He looks really funny, but he escaped with very few actual injuries. He spent a good 30 min or so in the incubator getting oxygen, but once he calmed down he went back to being his friendly old self and made friends with the techs. He was actually in the techs arms when she came out to call me. He really is a great cat and all I can say is I would take down anyone who was trying to hurt my harrykins... even if my body hates me for it afterwards, I am very very sore today

BTW I put pics of Harry's injuries on FaceBook for date proof

  4. What Harry's injuries??? what did I miss???

  5. It's amazing the sudden bolt of energy we get when we see our furbabies being attacked. The Mastif is lucky it got away w/few injuries...from Harry & You. I'll bet you could've used some calming down yourself after that ordeal Ale. Glad to hear the injurues were slight & hoping your soreness goes away soon.

  6. I'm so glad to hear that Harry's OK, and I hope his mamma feels better soon. You are one tough lady, Ale.

  7. Awwwww..Ale please give Harry a gentle hug for me. I would have done the same thing you did to save one of my babies and I'd have come out of it with all the soreness you have too. Lord knows maybe even a broken bone or two...hahah. I'm such a natural born klutz. I hope you're both back to fully healed very soon. XOXO =)

  11. OMG TKN how scary!! I know exactly how you feel Blackbeard had the same experience with the neighbors 2 pitbulls...I however was not as smart as you and I managed to get bit many times...Blackbeard didn't have a scratch and still I was shaking like a leaf..I can't imagine how scared you were when you saw that he had puntures. I'm so glad he is going to be okay!! You are an awesome mama bear for all your fur babies... No wonder every nearby animal wants to come live at your house!

  12. I never saw them 2B, they werent bleeding when I retrieved the cat from the tree. I knew he had to have some and was worried about him going into shock so I took him to the vet because I couldnt afford to miss work. I am just very very sore today

Posted 2 years ago by TheKnittingNinja #

  13. {{{TKN}}} When you get home I'm sure you will have many thankful furbabies who will purr you into relaxing (after they eat of course) and puppies wagging tails to let you know how loved you are.

  15. Never mind...I found it Ale. Hahaha! Harry don't let your fur brothers and sisters tease you about the shave. Tell them "You should see what the dog looks like!! =D

  16. I bet you are super sore, Ale! Wow, what an ordeal for both you and Harry. I am so glad that you are both okay. I was looking at Harry's catster page and he has such an expressive face. He is a cutie. Hugs to you and scritchies and pettings to Harry.

What did the neighbor say about the vet costs? I hope they are offering to cover them considering it was their kid's fault for not chaining the dog properly and it coming on to your property to attack your cat. I am sure you know how to handle this.

  17. Wow, just read what happened on the other post, poor kitty must have been terrified!! but lucky you were home!! and that he let you hold him down the stairs (you do have a nice bond for him to trust you like that), other kitties get worse when scared.
    Mastiff are really big doggies!
But good news he is now safe at home, hopefully your neighbours don't let that happen again!
    You are Harry's hero :)

  21. She had to!! couldn't just watch her little baby being abused!! mean doggy!
Once my German Sheppard came back with a huge cut on her nose, some animal came in HER backyard and chased it and almost caught if it wasn't for the attack back, she came back crying and bleeding lots. But she loves her own cat.
But now to rest and get better little Harry and you too Ale.

  22. Good news about Harry...you need some TLC too!
I have a corner lot for my backyard that has shrubs but no fencing. I do take my kits out on a leash but sometimes people walk their dogs without a leash. I do worry about them coming in my yard/scaring my kits etc. It happened once this year...The neighbor blamed the dog...we know it was the human's fault for not having a leash/watching her dog!

  23. I would definitely make the neighbor pay for the vet bills. If he doesn't take him to small claims court. A message needs to be sent to irresponsible dog owners. Judge Judy throws the book at them!

  24. Glad to hear Harry is doing OK now. And that you're unharmed too.

  25. My friend is going have her husband help me put up an electric fence on that part of the yard to help keep the neighbors dogs out of my yard. I am also going to start being more vigilant with meimei about not letting her take her chewies outside. I think that is a part of the reason they are comming into my yard since she likes to hide hers out there, and the neighbors dont give thier dogs treats and chewies like I do.

  26. Yay Harry the fierceless warrior is home and jsut like you you cheeky fellow flirting with all those ladies at the vets! Did ya milk their sympathy big time? heheheh! Love ya harrykins!

  27. An electric fence on that side will definitely help Ale. I'm so glad your friend's husband is helping with that. Guess it won't take too long for your own dogs to learn how shocking the new fence will be. They'll all get a little surprise the first time they get too close to it but that's ok. It's only for training anyway. Noone will actually get hurt. =)

  28. Great news, Ale!!
