Believe it or not at the pet supply stores there are special bowls that are weighted around the bottom and are very difficult to tip over. Sounds like your kitten likes to play in water. It happens..mine don't but there are lots who do. =)
Cheri..I'm LOL at the image of Velvet and Spice having a free for all in a water fountain! =D

My Mystie did that too! But it was becuase she was standing up with her front paws on the rim to drink. Cound be the same problem. so there's 3 things you can do!
1. if you have a place to attach a cage bowl holder which I did since I have a large playpen.
2. Get a weighter and non skid bowl
or
3. larger bowl that is wide in diameter yet shallow on the sides.Posted 2 years ago by Momma to 2 MaineCoons #

Either a weighted bowl or one that is in a wire holder--they make these for big dogs so they don't have to bend down to the bowl.

I have a ceramic bowl for the water, it's too heavy to flip. Well, for the baby. The older cat is picky and does not like having water in a dish. She MUCH prefers having it in a human's cup! Funny kitty. She would sneak into the bathroom and drink out of the sink what had dripped to avoid water in a dish no matter how fresh, but she'll drink from a cup. So cup it is! Icky sink water. Eew.

You think that's bad Bekajoi? Our Eric prefers the manky rainwater in an old plant pot in the garden! Now THAT'S ew!!!!

Ugh my cats loves water and my bf used to sit on carpet to watch tv with his big glass of
kook aid or some other hardshley dyed drink and my cats would literally put paw on top and knock it over on purpose! Used to drive me nuts!Posted 2 years ago by KITTEN CUDDLER #
