  2. That doesn't sound good and little kittens can go downhill very quickly. You need to phone the vet and take her in. Please let us know what happens, we will worry about her now.

  5. We do, when she's better, you can set up a Catster page for her and post pix and all sorts. I call my two 'monsters' too! Good luck at the vet.

  7. help, i thought my little munster was getting better, but im not so sure now.one min she seems ok and eating a little, then the next she is so quiet again. i spoke to the vets, and they said keep an eye on her and try and get some fluids etc into her!!, but that is easier said than done when she is so tiny. im so worried for her, we have only had her for 2 weeks and she is lovely, all ive been told is to keep an eye on her the next 24 hrs are the most anxious time. i just dont want to loose her its breaking my heart.

  8. Hi Dizzy...I'm sorry to welcome you to TDK under such distressing conditions but I'm happy to see you here. There are many wonderful people here who've been where you are now and can support you emotionally as well as with experience. With what I've discovered from others on this is in order to hydrate a kitty when they're ill you can entice them with tuna from tins, don't pour off the water in it. If your market sells pedialyte it's good too. This mixed with baby food meat can entice them to take in small amounts. I hope you're able to get her to the vet and get some helpful answers and instructions soon. Best of luck Dizzy. Please keep us posted.

  9. hi thank you for your advise, when you say baby food what sort do you mean?

Posted 2 years ago by dizzy #

  10. I have used Gerber strained meats in the past. Try to find chicken or liver, if you can. Sometimes it's hard to find just the plain meats without vegies mixed in, but the plain meat is the best.

  11. thank you i will have a look, and spookly enough the picture of your kitty is exactly what my munster looks like. the other thing that has been worring me is that when we picked her up the couple said she was 8 wks old, but i think she is only [at the time] 6wks as she is so tiny?

  26. hi every one i wonder if you can help me?, as my little munster has pulled through, i was thinking does anyone have a different name/word for lucky?

Posted 2 years ago by dizzy #

  27. Hi Dizzy, I missed you first time around - a belated welcome to TDK! And I see you're another Brit, hurrah!

Y'know, there's probably a few hundred other words for lucky in various languages, but Munster is SUCH a cute and gorgeous name, I think you should keep it - besides, she knows how lucky she is, she's got you!

Look forward to chatting with you more on TDK - and seeing pics! :o)

  29. thank you both if anything i think im the lucky one, because when my husband had been trying to find me another kitten, as my rescued cat [jewels], of 8yrs had been run over at the beg of the year, he wanted desperatly to fill the empty place as he knows how much i love animals. anyway getting back, as i said im the lucky one as she chose me, and thats how i feel it should be, they choose us other way round. so that is it "munster" it is. thanks guys, look forward to keeping in touch with you all. oh by the way munster has just found my knitting wool etc. HELP!!!!! lol
