Hey family! It has been a crazy 2 weeks around here. I have only had time to check in a read a little. Here is what has been going on. Wilbur gave me a pretty big scare. He would not drink any water or eat. He had some serious saliva dripping. Of course I think the worse. I got him over the vet school at 7am on Tuesday. It turns out that he has 3 ulcerated lesions on his tongue. It is really painful for him. I was trying to figure out how he could have hurt himself. Well, I brought little Hadley into the house on Tuesday. He is such a sweet 12 week old siamese mix kitten. I was playing with all of them Wilbur, T-Do and Hadley with a cat teaser. I guess that Wilbur got pretty excited and managed to bite the string and I was not paying close attention. I was just "dancing" the feather thing around. Long story short, Wilbur cut his tongue on the string. Poor kitty. He was pretty miserable. They gave him some anti bacterial mouth was and a whole ton of morphine for the pain. He is better. They are not real thrilled with Hadley but no big problems. The boys are ignoring him. Hadley went for his spa day on Thursday. He did really well. He came home on Friday minus some parts! I don't know what kind of kitty he is going to be but it should be interesting to find out. I had to put a litter box in the corner in the living room. The first day he was in the house he pooped in the corner! Same thing the next day so I figured I would put a box there. I have not had a kitten for so long.I finally got him to purr. He has a huge purr!! I am learning all over again. I will try to get some photos of all the boys. So far they have been bad. Hadley's blue eyes turn out red in the photo. Oh, Hadley - give it a few days and you won't give those missing parts a second thought! (I hope!)
Poor Wilbur - it hurts like the dickens when you cut your tongue! But you had the happy drugs so hopefully you're feeling better.

Hi PT...Poor Wilbur..Ouch! We don't have one of those toys for the cats but I imagine that could have have happened to anyone. Hope he heals up without any complications. HOw nice to have a new young one in the house! Hadley sounds adorable and I look forward to seeing pics. My Shady (avatar) is a siamese mix and a pretty squirrely guy. I'm sure once T-do and Wilbur have adjusted to the idea of a new kitten they'll have great fun. Glad to see you checking in PT. We've missed you. =)

Awww poor Wilbur. I am glad you got him to the vet and it was only a small matter. I am sure Hadley will fit in soon. He is just testing his new home and brother.
