If it is a kitten it is not unusual but do keep an eye on her. Kittens become dehydrated pretty easy. Welcome, Stephy, not sure we have met!

runny poop in a kitten can mean lots of things, but you want to do your best to keep her hydrated, as loose stools in kittens, just like in humans, can result from and in dehydration. water and liquids will be helpful in this situation. i think the first step is to make sure her food is not spoiled (wet food should not be left out for more than 20 minutes or so) and that she isn't munching on something interesting around the house. sometimes a change in environment or food or litter type can upset a kitten enough to cause stomach problems as well. also, does your vet have her on any medications? my kitten had to take antibiotics once and had terrible diarrhea from them. the vet gave her subcutaneous fluids to help rehydrate her, actually. so i might encourage drinking more water.
you can think about other brands of food that may be better for her system. when we first got my kitten, she was sick from everything except ivvanova brand. an inferior quality food may be the culprit or it may be that your kitten is just sensitive to the brand she's being given.
honestly, if she is playing with the same energy as before and is eating well, i wouldn't get too worried. but if your "mom alarm," is going off, i would pay the vet a visit. certainly if you see blood in the stool, take her to the vet

Hi Stephy,
This is the 2 week old kitten you are talking about, isn't it? She is probably only getting KMR right now, not solid food.
Since 10 tsp of water didn't seem to be enough and 12 tsp might be a little too much, maybe you can try 11 tsp.
Is her poop just soft or is it actually liquid? Soft is okay, but if it's liquid and stays that way for more than a day, you definitely need to call the vet.
Be sure that you get her little bum clean after every poop. It doesn't take much irritation for her to end up with a sore bottom.
