  2. Hi MC - I'm at work and I have a horrible head cold. I have just taken some medication which will hopefully get me through my next meeting and then I am heading home early. Is there any barbecued chicken soup available?

  3. The big Orangie chef in the kitchen is making a nice portable bowl of BBQ Chicken soup to send to KK. He gives it to a delivery kitteh who is off thru the wormhole to give it to you. He also is to give you some headbonks and purrs to make you feel better.

  9. Thanks MC - the soup is good and the delivery kitteh has excellent headbonking skills and a lovely purr. (Or maybe my medication is kicking in).

  10. I don't know, MC. It might be just whatever is on TV. We watched a great film the other night called The Children of Huang Shi starring Jonathan Ryhs Meyers (The Tudors) that was so good. It was one of those Netflix films that said "if you liked this one, you might like this". It was so good. Tonight we might let our girls decide!

  11. Hi Cheri - you have been busy with your painting. Well done - you're getting that place ship-shape. I'd be interested to know if you keep finding cat hairs in your paint though?

  12. Cheri, food on its way thru the wormhole. Glad you had a productive weekend. KK, I know it was the kitty not the medication. WWM, sounds like a good movie, might go add that to my Netflix list.
The girls might want to watch a disney movie!

  15. Well, I think that I will bid you all a good night! I can't believe that it's Sunday night already! I look forward all week to Friday and then it's Sunday before you know it. I think that I will head off with Mr. WWM and the girls for some "down time" and then pack it in for that early am "workout" alarm.

    Have a great evening, Everyone!

  16. Having worked in the VA Hospital in Chicago I met some wonderful people from the Vietnam and Korean wars and they really got me interested in that whole time period and gave me a whole new respect for them and what happened.

  17. It's a WWII movie (sort of), MC. It's actually set in the period when Japan invaded China around 1936.

  22. Getting tired myself. Gonna snuggle my girls and watch TV in bed. Got some new sheets and a duvet at IKEA, gonna go break them in! Night all!

  23. Can't sleep so going to putz around and get ready for w**k, hope that everyone has a good night's sleep. I probably won't be able to come on NS from w**k or very little, start training the new guy tonight and that will be a big hinderance to personal use of the computer.....sigh.

  24. Just popping in briefly to see what's been going on here today. About to make my dinner, watch TV for a bit then back here before bed.
Ahhhhh, training the new guy, have fun Deb, I hope he has plenty of personality and a great sense of humour to make up for your not being able to drop into the NS office.

  25. Looks like it's just you and me tonight on the NS, then, MS. I'm just popping in before dinner too -- going to do some editing for an hour or so. I'll be back on around 10.30ish, going to try to get an earliesh night...

I hope the new guy is nice too -- and drop-dead gorgeous wouldn't go amiss! :)

  26. I'll be back around then also, depends what's on the box tonight and if I can stay awake. I've been up since sparrow fart, actually I beat the sparrow's up again.
I agree, I hope the 'new guy' great too.

  27. Did you have a nice day, MS? Did it rain where you are? I bought a walnut tree and a nectarine (dual grafted) on Saturday so now of course I am itching to plant them but it's too rainy! And the almond tree blossom just keeps getting prettier. Normally I prefer blossom in the bud stage but this tree is so pretty, I think I'm going to get me another... Double harvest of almonds too, yum yum...

  28. We had a cool windy but dry day for once, the dry bit I mean. Yay! Dual grafted walnut/nectarine! That is different. Love walnuts from the tree, my grandparents had several trees and I remember picking the walnuts up and laying them out for drying. My brother also has a walnut tree that produces massive nuts. We eat them on vegemite sandwiches, mmmmmmmmm. You must get a picture of the almond blossom. Off to poach my chicken boob now and cook up a pile of brussel sprouts, that's all I feel like eating tonight. See you after 10.30 Jcat.

  29. Oops, sorry, MS, I misled you. A dual grafted walnut and nectarine tree, that would be different! I meant a walnut tree and then a nectarine tree (grafted with two different types of nectarine!) I have taken pix of the almond, I must send one to you and Deb.

Ooh, yum, brussels sprouts, love 'em. I used to torment my brother by waving them under his nose at dinner when we were kids, the very smell of them would make him throw up, tee hee...

Sorry I disappeared, I have been having the devil's own job getting the pages to load for TDK sometimes, tonight I gave up. Chat later...

  30. MS is back in the NS office, reading back posts and sipping Chamomile/green tea.
