  1. Hi again, MS, it's gumboot for me...

  2. Gumboot? You've lost me on that one Jcat.
Ohhhhhh, just sitting here and the door from the garage into this room started being bumped from the other side. I leapt up and locked it but I', 99.99% sure it's a cat that has wandered in Shadz system of cat doors and ramps under the house. Not sure who just got the biggest fright.

  3. Gumboot tea, MS, rather than chamomile.

Eek! It could be a very, very tiny axe murderer...

(Pay not attention. I'm just being silly.)

  6. just got brave and went into the garage, had to see if the washing had finished. No sign of the cat but all doors were locked. I've decided I gave the cat a bigger fright than i got, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Discovered a massive trail of ants yesterday up and outside veranda pillar and into the eaves. I've put ant bait on the pillar and the ants have been very busy transporting it to their nest. Mwhahahahahahahah

  7. I bet you did give him a fright, MS, but they're curious little things, I bet he comes back again to investigate when he thinks no-one's looking. I'm glad there were no axe murderers. Poor little ants, they won't know what's hit 'em but they shouldn't go into other people's houses...

I did nothing but work today, I was a very good girl but it was a bit boring
:( Looks like it will be sunny tomorrow though, if I can get out into the garden, that will break up the routine a bit. How was your day, MS? Have you heard from KK, is she feeling better from her cold yet?

  8. My day was slow, up at Sparrow's, then home an hour later. Too wide awake to go back to bed. Just potter around the house then I fell asleep. The future SIL popped in for a cuppa this afternoon and then wake, feed and take Mr MS to work again for 12 hours. Really boring. Ohhhhh, I also posted off a box of NZ sweets to Airy & Jim-man, some for his birthday and some for the Socal MCW TDK meet up.

  9. It had more variety than my day, MS! Although I did win $30 on Lotto (YAY!) It's about my first win in four or five years so it felt like a big deal :)

That was nice of future SIL to drop by, he obviously feels very comfy around you.

I wonder if Airy and Jim-man will be able to resist temptation and keep some sweets back for the meet-up or whether they might all disappear before then...

  10. I hope they don't disappear, I sent enough so there would be some to spare. Cost and arm and a leg to post. I also included a Woman's Weekly for Airy and a new Shadz picture, the one of her at 'work' on the tree stump, I think I emailed to you sometime this year.

  11. Aww, was that the one of her peering intently into the distance for little mousies? I've never quite been able to take the Woman's Weekly seriously... but then I still think of it as the magazine that my nana used to read... all the stories were way too short... it's probably changed a lot (cos that was 40 years ago, Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!)

  12. I like the crossword, I have a lazy read of the mag then pass it on to Mum and we do the crossword together. I never ever take the front page seriously, they always have a slant on the story and make you think it's about one thing but really it's about something else.

  13. Yep, that's right, the front page reads something like 'Sir Edmund Hillary's flirtation with Satanism" and you think ooh, and then you read it and it says he once watched a horror movie and thought it was a load of old rubbish... I think they should be able to get them under the Trades Description Act, tee hee...

Can you tell I avidly read it at the doctor and dentist?

  14. LOL, perfect example Jcat. I've often wondered if they could be challenged over their misleading headlines.
Oh my, still chuckling over that one, I like it.
I'm headed off to bed now, HRH is asleep in her basket and I should be asleep. See you tomorrow.
