I am so sleepy I can hardly keep my eyelids open! It's awful! Its storming here, has all night. Had the girls quite upset and they kept waking me up. Man, I wouldn't be able to handle a baby if the girls poop me out! LOL We are opening the cafe today and its going to be catered again by Panera (my "go to" when I need help in the cafe). Plenty of yummies! Come on in and join us. We are so happy to see you! To my kiwi friends, hope you sleep tight!

Good morning MC, who's in your new avatar?
Scrambled eggs with cheese please, a large mimosa (wink) and wheat toast with orange marmalade please.
We canned eight pints of salsa this past weekend...it was truly a 'sweatshop' on Sunday, with temps near 90. This salsa is thicker and tastes better than the stuff I made last year. Yum!

Good morning MC, Jcat and Siobhan! I hope you gals are doing fine today. I'm sleepy too, been doing lots of work around the house in my two messiest rooms, cleaning stuff out and getting ready to paint....I stayed up till 0100 last night so I didn't even go walk this AM...MC thanks for starting the cafe, I can't decide what I want for breakfast, I'll have a diet Coke right now for some caffeine! Siobhan, the salsa sounds yummy....Enjoy! TDK friends, I hope you all have a great day or evening wherever in the world you are...

Good morning MC, Jcat and Siobhan. Yuck, getting wet, it's fine in summer but not in winter. Our sunroof leaked the other night, as I drove off all the water that had pooled poured out and all over Mr MS. Normally I get the neck full of water but this time I was spared. I was too busy trying to see the road to even giggle too.
MC, I can really sympathise with you on the tiredness. I' have to be up in 5 1/2 hours and I'm not even in bed yet.
Bidding you all a good day and sweet dreams Jcat(Deb too if you've managed to sneak on). See you later on today.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Hi! I like storms when I'm snug in my home too. The typical summer storms always seem to hit when I'm at work and not with Leela. Lousy nights sleep, so I could go for a big glass of orange juice to get the blood going. Have a wonderful day/evening all!

Hello, I'm rather tired today, too. I think its the "Monday-morning-go-to-work" sleepiness.
I have my daughter-in-law and grandchildren coming on Wednesday, so I'm very excited about that. The thing is that I still have some cleaning to do, laundry that needs washed, and other odds and ends done before they arrive.Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

Leela is not much of a snuggler; but she does come up on the bed sometimes and sleeps right behind my knees. That's very cute and comforting, even if I can't move!

Hi LK & NNGM!
MC, I saw your new avatar last night - meant to ask you about it! At w**k I can't see anyone's avatars (stupid firewall).
Spent a good part of yesterday going thru pictures; I want to get as many as possible into albums. Shaddo loved sleeping under the Christmas tree. Those are among my favorite pictures of him. (who am I kidding?? I like all the pics of my boys!)
I realized that I haven't taken many pictures of Leela. I have a camera that's now considered ancient; it takes floppy disks and my computer doesn't. I keep disposable ones around, and snap pics whenever I can. Hubby has a nice digital one that he's just learned to use so perhaps I'll learn as well.
We have to get a scanner for the computer, then I can scan some old pics of baby Shaddo and baby Jiggs. For a short time, Shaddo was bigger than Jiggs!Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Molly is a beauty, MC.
Good morning, all! I have the next three days off - yay! But we're not going anywhere - boo! I really wanted to get the heck out of NYC, especially since we're supposed to have temps in the 90s all week. Still, I get to hang out and play with George (who is now zonked after almost an hour of "chase the feather toy").
We got a new camera yesterday to replace the one that got stolen in Ecuador, so I'm reading the manual and practicing with it. Georgie is being a very patient test subject :) I can't believe how small this camera is! We paid almost exactly what we paid 3 years ago, and it's maybe half the size, and according to my stepdaughter the photographer, it's a much better camera, so hurray for technology.
Hope everyone has a decent Monday (about all you can hope for from a Monday).

Hey Kilroy! (you can't see me waving from w**k; it's in the valley) Enjoy your time off; we didn't go anywhere either, but hanging out with Leela, being somewhat lazy and not looking at the clock was nice. Scritches to George from Aunt Joan and leg rubs from Leela to you (she's so good at them!).

Such a pretty Molly in that avatar! Hope your headache goes away soon, MC. I picked up Tansey from the bathroom rug last night and brought her into the air-conditioned bedroom with me. She cuddled beside me for a couple minutes, then on my pillow for a bit longer, then she left. She's not the cuddlebun she used to be; she's always on the lookout for Hermes. When he sees her cuddling with me, he just HAS to come over and get into her face, usually by walking on her or laying on her. And since she's much older than he is, and about a quarter of his weight, things Do Not Go Well, and it usually ends with her leaving the bed in a huff. But it was still nice to have her close, feel her front feet kneading me, and hearing her purr in my ear. (sighs with kitty love memory)

I wish I could have taken a couple of days off Kilroy, but the children must get their bus passes. :) I would spirit you to the mountains of NJ and we could hang out at the pool while George and Leela play in the house. It's still stinkin' hot in the mountains but approx 6 degrees cooler than the valley and probably even more than NYC. Stay cool!

Misty Monday morning greetings from Milwaukee...the humidity finally turned into rain & cooled off a bit! Feels good for a change/a bit more energy...hopefully the kits will perk up too for the weather just zonked them out this weekend! Panera sounds yummy...I will also have a comfort carbed Cinnamon/crunch bagel per NNGM and a black cup of java to go! Best wishes for the start of a new work week to all!

Morning all! well, we made it to the mountains, both cats in tow!..... Cuddles, I have to give the old girl credit, was SO MUCH better than I though she'd be!!!!...... I put her in the stroller carrier (cause it's bigger)..... she had "something" to say for about the first 30 minutes of the trip, but then she calmed down, and (I think) actually enjoyed herself!..... Abby (seasoned traveler that she is).... just curled up in her carrier and purred the trip away in her donut bed...... I opened both carriers so they could get out and stretch if they wanted - Abby never does, only at rest stops when I the car is still and she needs to use her box..... Cuddles got out a few times, but would just stretch and then get back in her carrier (it had her favorite blanket in it)..... she was really good! (I was so glad).... the entire trip took 12 hrs, and then she "investigated" the house once we arrived..... I put her blanket out in the guest room on a chair, and I showed that was her designated "place".... familiar smells with her blanket, and then I sprayed the entire room with Feliway and put the plug in the wall...... this morning when I woke up she was in her "bowl" (blanket on chair)... and greeted me with a nice meow, and then I fed her...... so far so good!..... we'll see how it goes the next two weeks!....
how is everone this morning, I feel like a day in my life was missing, since I wasn't on at all yesturday!.....

Morning everyone. I think the consensus is that it is a sleepy sort of Monday. I need a latte and a breakfast bagel with sausage, egg and cheese.
I spent Saturday at my mom's house trying to pack and organize for her big move over Labor Day Weekend. I am still planning on being in Chicago for Labor Day and leaving the move itself to the other siblings.
I, my hubby, my two best friends, my sister and a niece worked for 8 hours on Saturday and the house looks like a trainwreck. However there are more boxes packed, closets, cabinets and china hutches emptied and packed, 3 loads of stuff to goodwill and more. Unfortunately since we won't have a moving truck until that weekend everything is still in the house!

I'm back from a lovely very long weekend in France (Wednesday - Sunday night). I had a lovely time with my friends and the weather was mostly very good. Walked 4 - 5 miles on Saturday and Sunday, went swimming on Friday (having climbed about 200 feet down the cliffs to get to the beach) so I'm feeling not too naughty, despite having eaten (and drunk) like a queen for most of the time there.
I'll have a small black coffee and a large slice of granary bread with *quick glance round to make sure WWM is nowhere about* salted butter.

Garbo is absolutely fine, very cuddly, and staying in the house more often than going out now.

Glad to hear Garbo is well, PM.
Can I just say grrrrrr for a minute? The flaky guy from our bldg who helped Mike buy his new bike is here putting new fancy schmancy tires on it, and he just yelled at George for sniffing around his equipment. Excuse me, you are in George's home and anything that comes in here, he has to check it out. That's how it works. He lives here, you don't. Grrrrrr.
