  1. Today I received my first TDK Christmas Card. Thank you! It made me feel all warm and fuzzy. It gave me enough energy to get three resumes out, complete with cover letters. I was so surprised. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You really don't know what it meant to me as I'd been depressed for sometime.

  2. I got my first one last night too! Thanks Lynn! I'll be getting cards soon to send out.

  3. I bought mine! Made the tags with the addresses...
The cards aren't wonderfully pretty but as they were so many I bought some that give part of the earnings for charity.
Hope to get to the post office tomorrow...

  4. I got mine over the week-end and will start sending them out this week.

  5. I bought cards, as well! Didn't receive any yet though. I'm hoping to get a batch out during the weekend.

  6. GD, Bog and Tiger send smooches to Auntie GD and purrs and headbonks to cousin Bobsky

  7. Smooches and headboanks right back at ya gang!

  8. I bought my cards this past weekend and just need to go get some address labels to print out my list--cutting and pasting from Angie's list made that really easy to do!

  9. Aw shucks, FH, why didn't I think of that before I typed it all out on my labels over the weekend! Arrrrgh! There's two hours of my life I'll never get back!
Actually, it wasn't that bad. I enjoyed the start of the holiday season getting my cards ready and had a newly purchased Christmas CD playing at the same time.

  10. Oh, just wanted to say that sending me cards to Spain must not be cheap and I will be equally pleased to receive your cards via e-mail.

    Hugs and purrs to all!

  11. I will go out and buy some Christmas cards tonight and get them off in the mail this weekend. I think this is a wonderful idea and thanks to all involved in setting it up.

  12. I don't know about Spain, Pipa's Mum, but when I send cards or even boxes to Denmark from the US, it's a LOT cheaper than them sending it to me from there. I think the postage on a card is something like 3 or 4 times the amount if sent from Denmark to the US.

  13. Well yes GreatDane, it is a bit expensive... but for me it will be once a year and it is so exciting!!

  14. Just a tip for anyone interested in making labels from Angie's list--I deleted the words 'home address' from her entire list. Then, the person's name and address was simple to copy, then paste onto the label sized paper

  15. I know, I think so, too, Pipa's Mum!

  16. That's what I did FH! You see... great minds think alike...

  17. They do, don't they? :)

  18. Thanks Lynn--my first Christmas card of the season! It made me go up in the attic and bring down the wreath and window candles! The season is here!

  19. Thank you Lynn. You beat husband's cousin, who is always first, ha! I don't know when mine will go out; my intention is to get them out this weekend, however, ya never know.

  20. I am so glad many of you received your Christmas cards and that it made you all smile! Those of you overseas and on the west coast, your's should be arriving soon! Pipa's Mom, for me, being on the east coast, sending the cards overseas was not all that expensive. It may be more from those farther away than me. I am thankful to Ange to have put the list together for us all, so that we may extend holiday greetings to all of our friends here, and overseas.

Happy holidays all!! Hugs, purrs and love, Lynn

  23. I bought my cards and will start in on them tomorrow night!

  24. I have all mine addressed but have to wait until payday to mail them. Plan to go to the post office on Friday during lunch to mail em all. :D

  25. I got mine today too - all the way over here in the UK! Thanks Lynn!

Yay - the Christmas season has officially begun! I will go out and get my cards and then get them sent this weekend! And while I am at it, I think some lights in the window and a lighted pine garland on the mantel are called for!

  26. I planning on starting my Christmas decorating this weekend too, Rubia. I love this season!

  27. I got Lynn's card yesterday (I am in California) and it was so sweet. I got out my cards and have stamped 15 (chosen at random). For some reason, the card just lifted my spirits -- I am newly unemployed and have been feeling down about it-- and now I feel like celebrating! Elizabeth

  28. I got my card yesterday, too! What a lovely surprise in the mail. I've got half of mine ready to go out (getting stamps this afternoon and airmail ones out). Planning on doing the rest tonight and sending tomorrow or, at least, this week.

  29. Oh you guys make me wish, I could send christmas cards to you all, but due to financial restrictions--unemployed for a year now-- I won't even be able tosend cards to old friends never mind new friends. I'll have to rely on e-cards. Perhaps next year. But trust thatI wish everyone a Grand holiday. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday and what ithmy birthday at that time, I think it might be a real bummer this year. But next year will be better, right?

Posted 2 years ago by yankee #

  30. I hear you, Yankee. I'm just recently unemployed, and as a result, just signed up for social security (haven't even received a check yet). So my cards will also be e-cards this year. But you know, I think they are just as appreciated as a paper card. Remember, its the thought that counts!

Yes, next year will be better-count on it!
