To day is Gracie's 8th Purrday and she is inviting all her friends to slide through the wormhole and join her. There will be lots of toys to play with, wonderful food, nice sunny napping spots and everyone gets one of her socktoys (rolled up kneehighs) as a party favor!
Gracie rushes around looking for her favorite pink bow for behind her left ear and has Thierry Henry and Emma busy setting up the bufet.

Fred and Cricket are so excited. They have a beautiful pink ribbon dancer and some multi colored nip mice for Gracie's birthday.
Cricket is in her yellow sundress with matching sandals and Fred is in Khaki shorts with a green polo shirt and tennis shoes. They go through the wormhole to see their friends. They run up to Gracie and give her big hugs and wish her a happy birthday and put the present on the table. They also have some Salmon dip and Crab cakes from Meowmy for Gracie's party. Fred helps Thierry Henry and Emma set up. Cricket is talking to Gracie and wonders what it would be like to be 8 years old. She's only 4.

Gracie tells young Cricket what it is like to be 8 with a decided air of mock superiority. Finally she giggles and says she doesn't feel 8, she still feels like a kitten most days! Emma, who has been 8 since March just rolls her eyes and winks at Fred and Thierry. While no one is looking, Emma swipes a bite of salmon dip. MMMMMMM so tasty!

Yay - Happy Purrday Gracie! Leela rushes around primping and gathering her things she wants to bring. She is wearing a pale pink sundress with her angel pin attached. Her claws are bright pink and she is bringing claw polish of all colors in case the girls want to do their claws. She has a big brightly wrapped gift for Gracie (what could it be??).
Leela gets her stuff together and whoosh! Thru the wormhole - thud!
Hi Gracie! Happy Purrday! I didn't know you are 8; I always thought you were my age, you are so kitten like! They hug and Leela goes to Gracie's mama and gives her a bouquet of wildflowers from the mountains of north Jersey. She leaves crabcake treats on the buffet table and heads back to Gracie, who is mingling.

velvet and spice are excited about another party. they get dressed fast in shorts and tshirts. they have presents of suede mice for gracie. they know she will love them, because they do too !!! this is a good day for a party, as cheri is going to the dentist for a crown...
Gracie is having fun playing with new toys and talking to her friends. She admires the pretty peach polish that Leela painted on her claws. "Everyone, it's lunch time so lets hit the buffet!" announces Gracie and Emma all but knocks her over in her rush to get to the food. Thierry holds out his forepaws and escorts Velvet and Spice to the table.

"Everything is delicious!" exclaims Leela, momentarily forgetting that she shouldn't talk with her mouth full. "I'm glad you like that color, Gracie. My mommy likes that color on her so-called claws too."

Velvet thought that it was very nice for Thierry to escort her and Spice to the buffet table. she is fragile, and wouldn't want to be accidentally knocked down by somekitty rushing to the table. she fills her plate and finds a comfortable chair to sit in...
she especially likes the tuna fish finger sandwiches...
maybe if she asks nicely, Leela will do a manicure and nail polish for her...
Leela loves Velvet; her mama tells her stories of her friendship with Shaddo. Leela would be happy to do anyone's claws - she and Cricket are getting pretty good at it. Spice and Leela admire each others' coats.
"Those tuna fish finger sandwiches were heavenly - I have only had tuna-water, never real tuna! Velvet, what color would you like? Let's see, this golden color would match your eyes. Light pink would look very pretty on you too. Or perhaps that peach color like the Birthday Girl is wearing." Betty and Leela lay a blanket down under a tree in the shade. Velvet can sit and be comfy while her claws dry and Dot and Crocky brought over some tuna-water and munchies too.

Gracie smiles as she watches Leela paint Velvets claws. She notices that there are butterflies visiting the flowers in the yard and points them out to Leela.
Thierry, BooBoo, Blackbeard and Betty are engaged in a game of tag you're it! Emma, Dot, Crockey, Cricket, Fred and Spice are laying in the sun talking about how full they are after all the wonderful food.

"Oooh, that's what my mommy showed me the other day! I got to go outside! She held me in her arms, but that was ok because the butterflies flew all around our heads! Mama says butterflies are good luck and happiness; I think they are here to wish you a wonderful birthday and a happy year ahead Gracie."
Leela makes sure Velvet is settled and comfortable and sets out to join the game of tag.

Betty, Wilma, and their buddy Lydia are very mad at me! They couldn't get the wormhole open to get to Gracie's party. They all have on cute little short sets and Wilma put on her jean's overhauls and red, white and blue plaid shirt with bows in her fur (what if FRED is there?). They have gathered a catnip plant, balloons, a new shiny food bowl that says "Queen of the House", and catnip brownies to bring to the party. I open the worm hole and SWOOSH they are gone and tumble out in Kentucky! They said they always wanted to go to Kentucky to visit as their meowmy says her family is from Louisville! They look around and see all their girl kitty friends. All three run over and start headbonking the girls! Wilma looks around and sees FRED! She has a calla lilly from our plant tucked behind her ear and tucks it in Fred's pocket and gives him a headbonk. Betty and Lydia pull her away and pull her over to see the birthday girl! HAPPY PURRDAY GRACIE!!!

The girls hope that Leela would be kind enough to help them file and polish their claws. Meowmy only lets us do that with our girlfriends at parties! They all brought their backpacks just in case they stay over!

"Hi Betty and Wilma! Lydia, so nice to see you again! {{{Hugs to B,W,&L}}} I just fell back on my furry tush so I am out of the limbo contest. I thought I did quite well, but look at Blackbeard! Woo-hoo, you go BB! Anyway, I have lots of colors of claw polish (look at this purple one I got from mommy!) and would be happy to manicure claws! Even the boys look good with a fresh file and buff. We should be kind of quiet; Velvet is napping in the shade. I want to get just one more crabcake, hehe!
My mommy wishes she could come to Kentucky so I feel really priviledged to be here! Doesn't Gracie look absolutely radiant?"

Gracie is beautiful! She looks fantastic for 8! Yes, we like that purple, it will look great against Betty's Russian Blue coloring. Wilma would like to go with a more red polish and Lydia a nice shade of pink. The girls all scurry quietly to the buffet to get some yummies and tuna water. YUMMMMMMMMMMM!

Velvet wakes up from a wonderful nap in the shade. She gets up and stretches and starts wandering about. looking at everyone haveing fun. She is also having a good time, hers is just a bit lower-key than others. She goes over to the buffet, finds some catnip cookies and nibbles on them. She walks over to the limbo contest and sees Spice playing and smiling and giggling. She is happy for her sisfur...
Gracie, your mama throws a great party! All the kits look to be happy and having lots of fun. Thierry is admiring Velvet's pretty claws but Velvet is busy admiring Gracie's claws.
