My family and I had recently taken in a Kitten that was in the street and almost run over. She is named Smokie, all black cat, right now her eyes are dark blue and open. I am guessing she is three or four weeks old. At first we haven't had any problems with Smokie. She is a chubby little girl (when she came in to the family, she was skin and bones.) Well, she got Constipated twice, and last night she got a Cold, she hasn't pooped as often as she should. We've called Vets (for we cannot afford one at the moment), none of them contacted us back on what we can do for her. We checked websites, we have been doing everything they mentioned. Massage, use warm water gently on her genitals, and etc...
She was doing fine before the Constipation started. Is there anything that can be done to help her? Any home remedies or something to give her to help?
