The kittehs thought for Miss Gracie's birthday they would have a little mexican fiesta party in the NS. We have a make your own taco/burrito bar, rice, beans, chips/salsa, guacamolee and fried ice cream. All fountains are flowing freely and kittehs are looking for laps to rest in. Come on in and join us. The kittehs are doing a Mexican Hat Dance! Ole'!

OMG!! It just so happened we had nachos for dinner tonight, it must be Mexican night ;o) Happy Birthday Miss Gracie!! We were going to have taco salads but since there was no lettuce on hand, we made it nachos instead....LOL. Hope everyone has a great evening, can'tg wait to see the kitties doing the "cucaracha"!!

We made wraps for dinner. We had some leftover steak, chopped it up and had it with shredded cheese, salad-makings topped with ranch dressing on a tortilla - yum!

i went to Phil's chicken house after my dentist appt. because Phil's is across the street. I don't go often because it takes 35 minutes to go from my home to Phil's. Velvet and I had roasted white meat chicken and I had banana bread also. Spice chose not to join us.
we'll do this again tomorrow night because i always buy 2 nights worth of chicken.
i'm not hungry but i would take an ice cold diet pepsi and a purrer/cuddler that would like to lick chicken grease off my fingers...thank you...

okay I am here for a second. I just checked Mystie's incision again. the area now looks larger so tomorrow at 8am I am taking her in to the vets. I am concerned. i assumed it would get better not worse. I am supposed to go to San Fran tomorrow. I may have to call second mom and cancel if I can't get it taken care of before 9:10 or so becuase I need 20 minutes to get there to her house from mine. I hope they can get something set here. I don't like the look of her tummy with it like that. And I want to make sure it is an aggitation and not an infection. I now remember why all my past cats have been males. They have never caused me to stress and worry like this. Sigh!
At least she is way better then my old rottie/lab mix I had when I was 9. She was much more active then mystie and when a neighbor came to visit they were takign too long to come in and she barreled out after her playmate a older dog and while she ran out a few steps and the stitches burst. her insides were hanging out and I was freaking out. we got her wrapped her middle with a towel and rushe dher back to the vets. The stupid vet put 3 stitche sonly. In a large breed dog whihc we had told them was over active. I thought I was gonna loose her. thankfully she made it through and she healed and we were together another 3 years. When I had to move and the place refused to have more then one dog. My sister got to keep hers and I ahd to give Christmas up. Thankfully a neighbor who used to help by taking her on walks took her in after mom explained. I never knew what happened afterwards but I knew she went to a good home.
So a tad frazzled tonight I am!

I am hoping it is nothing! But it worries me that her tummy area on the lower side of the incsion is distended. There's no redness, no discharge. but to me that is not normal. Plus this evening it looks bigger to me. She could be aggitating it more. But I want to be sure. i have a sub day this friday and another one on Monday so need it tooken care of before then.

LOL!...yeah, maybe my "brains" got wet, but I did give the "naturalist" (sp?) person at the wild life sancturary pause, because I told her of my "friend who's cat brought "wetas" in thru their cat flap".......she had no idea what a "weta" was!!!! LOl
