Found it thanks Jcat. I'll definitely try Bay leaves if I can find where the ants live. I'll pass that tip on to Mum also as she has a constant problem with ants, not hordes like I've got at the moment but just continual trails outside and a small number of permanents inside. Goodnight/morning, the "pumpkin hour" has arrived. Time I slopped my dripper.

...."the ants go marching two by two, hoorah, hoorah".....
(sorry, couldn't help it!).. LOL
... well, Abby is in "time out" this morning!..... in the mountains, she sleeps upstairs with me and Hubbs at night, and we typically close our door..... Cuddles sleeps downstairs in the guest room..... well, about 4am, I got up , and Abby trilled to get out the door......so I cracked it to let her go downstairs..... I figured since she and Cuddles were in this "bonding" mode, it would be fine...... 7:15 am, Hubbs wakes me up "come downstairs" he says... so I follow him..... on the stove, last night, I had made a new batch of "Tinkerbells" food - sugar water, colored red..... "someone" had apparently been playing in it, and there were little red paw prints all over the stove, all over the counter, all over the floor, leading around in circles, over to the cat dish, and finally ending at the bottom of the couch, where "someone" was sleeping........ realize, now, that Cuddles is a solid white cat - of course after "paw investigation", Cuddles was exonerated.... Abby never admitted to the crime, but I suspect she spent a good part of her morning "cleaning up the evidence".......
... looks like my morning will be spent mopping up red paw prints!

Happy Wednesday morning to everyone! And Happy Anniversary to Joan and husband!
I am excited today...my daughter-in-law and grandkids are coming from Michigan for an extended visit until the end of the month. I will be missing-in-action during that time as I probably won't get a chance to get on a computer while they are here.
Everyone have a lovely day!Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

Good morning, everyone! Happy anniversay Joan!
I'm in a math workshop and I ever so gracefully volunteered to be the computer person--little do they know that I volunteered so that I could get my TDK fix!!
Boring. . . . .... ... ... I'm trying really hard not to fall asleep. . . :(

Happy Anniversary, Joan!
OMG, dark chocolate Reese's? I did not need to know about that :)
Bad Abby cat! Good Abbie baby!
Yay, MCW is almost here!
Whew, I think that about covers it :)
Mr. K and I got to watch the second episode of the British show "Lewis" yesterday, which is a police show set in Oxford, and OMG, watching those things always makes me want to hop on a plane and go back there. Plus, I just adore Lewis as a character. Then last night we watched "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", which was a lot racier than I'd expected. Mr. K had never seen it either, and he was kind of shocked. Love Maggie Smith, though.
Tonight we have theater tickets and we may go out to dinner beforehand. Tomorrow I have to go back to work - boo! But nobody won the Megamillions, so there's still a chance, right?
Have a great day everyone.

Wow..so glad we are back up ...however..I did get a lot done..it helps I don't have Maddie underfoot. I cleaned her room up..it looked like a tornado ripped through there. I did a load of laundry, did dishes, straightened up the living room, Folded and put away Maddie and Abbie's clothes, some washcloths and then got Abbers up from her nap, got her dressed and she's playing till snack time. Whew...thank goodness for A/C!

Smooches given Auntie Abby :)
So get this..a car stopped in front of my house and this lady was looking down my driveway...then walked up it..so I am curious..then I see her crouch..So I think she might see one of the stray kitties..whom I haven't seen in some time..So I go out on the porch and ask her..she sees the moo kitty...I told her she is more than welcome to go into my yard and see if she can catch it. It's hiding by the side of my garage and the neighbors garage which is covered in weeds and plants etc..so I see the baby and indeed it was watching us...We talked for a few minutes and here her parents black/white kitty just passed away and she wants to get this kitty for them. So I told her she was welcome to try and catch it if or when it's in my yard..she lives right up the street and I told her I would see what I could do. She gave me her business card, she was on her way to work when she saw the baby run across the street. So I went out and put some food and water and one of the kitty carriers out there. It did eat some food but is still hiding.Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

CM I hope you can catch the moo kitty for your neighbor. Check to see if anyone has a livetrap you can borrow.
Joan Happy Anniversary. Hubby and I hit 20 years next month.
Everyone, I talked to Leeny yesterday and she is still hanging in there. Keep the good thoughts and prayers coming. No big developments, she is just finiding it hard to type and is in some pain, but is seeing the chiropractor and it is helping.
Bacon for everyone who wants it!

Oh, I'm soooo late and now everyone seems to be gone :-(
Happy Anniversary, Joan! Gosh, y'all are newly weds!
Had to go to a doctor's appointment this morning with Mr. WWM and that pretty much ate the entire morning. Now I think I have a bit of time to do just a little quilting.
I'm so late that I didn't even know TDK had been down!

Happy anniversary Joan and Hubby, may you have many more to come. I'm a little late getting here, it's been a busy day so far! Just want to say HI to all the TDK friends and hope you are all having a wonderful day yourselves. Good luck catching moo-kitty CM, if he only knew how good he would have it once he was "caught".
-
Hi WWM, if you're still here. Hope you get to do some good quilting.
Good luck catching the moo kitty, CM! That would be awesome if you could help it get a forever home.
Hi Annie! How are things where you are today? It's hot here, and I'm hiding inside in the air conditioning.

A/C is such a good thing. I didn't have time to iron today and am wearing a blouse that is way too hot!!!!!! Next time I will just show up wrinkled!
