Hi Kilroy....things here are hot and humid, which is typical August in GA. I have tried to stay in the AC as much as possible today but have had a bunch of errands to run. I am getting ready to go back to the vet and pick up the newest member of my little kitty family, she is getting spayed today (more on that development later).... Rush hour traffic in Atlanta is a nightmare so wish me luck. I'll check in when I return!
Joan, it was lovely of you to bring out the fine china for this special occasion. It's much better to use it with friends than admire it behind glass in the china cabinet!

..... I just saw the most amazing thing.... I was looking out the window at the bird feeder (which I love to do up here).... and Tinkerbell came to eat.... her tiny little wings fluttering away... then she STOPPED!... she just lighted on the feeder, and was totaly still for about 30 seconds!..... I've never seen a hummingbird light and be still...... I think God gave me a special gift in seeing that today!.......it was amazing!

everyone at the hoyt household is doing ok. it's so hot velvet is sleeping on the kitchen linoleum. yes, the painting is done. i even sold my like new ladder so i don;t have to store it. when i need another one, i'll buy a better one that has a weight limit 50 lbs more then me instead of 2 lbs more than me...

LOL!.. good for you, getting things done!... I have numerous projects that I've assigned myself to up here, I hope I can get them all completed before I leave!....I'm so happy Cuddles and Abby have been "bonding" so far, this is a tiny little house, so they don't have near the room as usual.... I guess it's "get along", or "things could get ugly"!....

Cheri, wish you lived closer, FF would be so happy to help you paint and do stuff around your house. He is a "Mr Fix it" and loves to paint. He has the most awesome schedule and tries to fill up his off days with painting, staining and repairing stuff. He asked me if I had friends who needed work done. I wish I could squeeze him thru the wormhole. AV, God did bless you today, he was showing you the beauty of nature and how to be thankful for that NC beauty! I will coming over with Cheri for dinner, set two extra plates. I had pizza, worked late as I did an interview at work today (went well!) and it was storming and I know with just a little breeze my power goes out. So picked up pizza! Yum! Betty and Wilma had a few bites of crust! We are all so happy now.

Hi all! CM, I hope the lady catches the kitty and can give it a nice home.
Auntie Ellen has taken Abby in officially now - she and the dog are getting along just fine.Hope everyone's having a good day today. I had a pretty good day at work today. I set two appointments. My one co-worker was in a bad mood today. We usually have a lot of fun, but with her kind of down today, it wasn't quite the same. Hopefully she'll be her fun self tomorrow.
