I need this family more than ever

Thank you, everyone, for the love and support here and in my email. Please keep the prayers up and please add me to any prayer chain/group you can. I'll update in a new thread about my daddy tomorrow before the boss gets in. I had a long, heartfelt and difficult conversation tonight. He still has some fight left in him but he doesn't know how much longer he can keep it up. He wanted to know if the "cat people" were still praying for him and I told him OH YES! He really, really likes that. His body may be going but he is sharp as a tack with a memory that goes back (in detail!) to his young childhood. We should all be so blessed with a memory like that. I know I could use it at 44 and he's 83!

HUGS & PRAYERS for you & Dad Lainey. Talk w/your dad. My mom asked for the same thing. She was tired & no longer wanted to be in the hospital. She wanted to be w/family. So she was sent home w/hospice & passed peacefully in her sleep.
BTW...like your Dad, she had all her mental bearings as well,so we knew she was makong the right decision for her. And that's what mattered the most.

((Lainey)) I am not very good at this, please forgive me if my words fail me. I am so sorry you are going thru this long wait for answers. I will have my Mother's Group and Church pray for you as well as my own family.
Whatever your diagnosis, we will be here. We will all grieve with you if it is positive; we will rejoice with you if the results come back negative; no matter what this family is so compassionate and full of love and I'm positive you know this. Please stay strong, I cannot imagine the stress this wait is leaving on your soul and mind. God Bless your Daddy, also, for his spunk and clear mind. He, undoubtedly, passed his strength to you.

Thank you, again, everyone. I cannot acknowledge everyone individually for fear I would miss someone, so this is a collective hug and thank you to all of you! I know your prayers are helping me. I'm calmer. Still sad. Still very scared. I think Tuesday will never get here and yet I'm scared for it to get here. I'm going to do a seperate post about my dad before the bosses start to arrive.

I too was in your position of waiting and hoping for a negative diagnosis over twenty years ago. Unfortunately, my diagnosis was positive. At that time the diagnosis was terminal, but new medications were developed that keep me alive and feeling well most of the time. I don't know if the health issue you are facing has any treatment options or not, but even if there are no medications or therapies that can help you right now if the result is positive, you can best believe that many good people are working on it. Couple that with all the prayers coming your way and you will be able to face whatever life has in store for you.Posted 2 years ago by kitty poet #
