  1. ..ok, so it's 8:30 here, and I think WE NEED A NIGHT SHIFT!...

..... "rumages" in cubbards and drags out fountains..... chocolate, banana (yuck to me), strawberry, rasberry, mango, any flavor you like!..... all kinds of alcohol mixers... (with little umbrellas for "effect")..

  4. Hi Catherine!.... things are going very well actually... after I cleaned up Abby's 'red paw prints' today, I had a beautiful and relaxing day on the mountain!... Hubbs played golf, and we will play tomorrow!.... He's competing in the club championship this weekend, so "we" will practice!.. LOL.... Cuddles has been a good girl, really bonded with Abbs so far, so I'm happy!....

... what's going on in your life?...

  5. Ooh, a margarita sounds good, I'll have one of those, too.

  7. Red paw prints ...?

Had an OK day. Power went out at my apartment for a little while -- blown transformer -- so I went to the mall, hung out at Barnes and Noble and one of the makeup counters at Macy's.

  8. ... read the Cafe thread, and you will see Abby's "red paw print" story (little monkey!)... I love to hang out at Barnes and Nobles!..... I'm an avid reader, and typically go to my "little old ladies" used bookstore to exchange books each month - they "trade" books, (used)... and their new ones are even cheaper than B & N.......

  9. My cats are currently playing around with the empty boxes I've cleared out of my new apartment (I'm in Benbrook at boyfriend's mom's house).

If I remember right, there's a really good used-book store in Denton. I'll have to see if it's still there.

  10. I love B&N too! They just built a new one by my that is just awful, I liked the old store better! WAH!!!!!!

    Posted 7 months ago by mollycat71 #

  11. The B&N in Waco wasn't the best, but the one in Denton shows promise. And it's right across the mall from DSW (my favorite shoe store).

  13. LOL! ...... I sometimes laugh because I'll get new (used) books, and the little old ladies that run it say "you've read that before"!... (so I blush and say, ok, please lead me in the right direction!)... and they do!..... what is wrong with my brain, that I can't remember books I've read 5 yrs ago?????.... maybe, like MS says, (it got wet!).... LOL

  14. SMM, I know how you feel! I hate leaving Betty and Wilma, even if it is overnight!

    Posted 7 months ago by mollycat71 #

  15. ... and now you all, know why I took BOTH cats up here to NC for 2 weeks!.... although, I have to say, Cuddles is LOVING it!......

Posted 7 months ago by AV #

  16. I am so glad Cuddles is settling in, I was worried she wouldn't like it! Even better if she is "tolerating" Abs

    Posted 7 months ago by mollycat71 #

  17. yes, MC, Cuddles has surprised me the last few days!...... although, since Daughter went to summer quarter , she has been lonely!... funny thing is, Abby is so bonded to me, and Cuddles was so bonded to Daughter, they don't know how to bond to each other!......and they never may... but this week has definitely seen them be "closer" to gether than ever, so I'm hopeful!

  18. The old girl might surprise you yet! Even if it is merely to be more social with you and hubby and Abs. That would be a HUGE jump for her.

    Posted 7 months ago by mollycat71 #

  19. ... you're right MC, it is a HUGE jump! (in the right direction!)

  20. AV, I've started keeping a list of books I've purchased so that I don't by an extra copy. I did that in part because of the packing, but I intend to keep it up!

    Posted 7 months ago by Cats4Cats #

  21. C4C, that is a NOVEL idea! (sorry had to go there!) I need to do that, I found I bought a book twice because I have a small fortune in books!

    Posted 7 months ago by mollycat71 #

  22. *groans at the bad pun*

Amy, I found out by doing that that I have (or have had, anyway) nearly 900 books in my apartment! I've since read and gotten rid of several.

  23. Goodness, what a racket! I wondered what I was hearing outside. Turns out it is just George Thorogood, performing at the outside amphitheatre about 1/2 mile away. Old George must be blowing their eardrums out; I usually can't hear the concerts so clearly.

  24. AV that is so great that you can bring Cuddles and Abby with you on vacation and that are tolerating one another. MC how are you feeling today?

Posted 7 months ago by SylvesterMiasMomma #

  25. LOL! ...... thank GOD that I'm not the only one who reads... reads.... reads... and then a few years ( or months ) later, checks out the same book!.... luckily for me, my "little old ladies/owners of the used book shop)" that I go to, keep records..... truly, they are the sweetest of people!

Posted 7 months ago by AV #

  26. Sounds like an awesome bookstore.

    Posted 7 months ago by Cats4Cats #

  27. Is George Thorogood the guy who sang "Don't give me no lines and keep your hands to yourself"?

    Posted 7 months ago by Cats4Cats #

  28. I am ok today. Feeling a little punk, my neck hurts but otherwise ok. We are getting some pretty strong storms here so I think I am gonna power down off the computer. Goodnight all, it will be morning before we know it so I am gonna go read in bed with the girls. Sleep tight!

    Posted 7 months ago by mollycat71 #

  29. Sleep well, Amy!

    Posted 7 months ago by Cats4Cats #

  30. Good night MC. Sweet dreams.
