Hmmm, let me see....I am written up in some medical journal according to my mom. When I was a wee baby (back in late 57, I was born in 56) my mom noticed some strange symptoms in how I was acting and took me to the pediatrician. He put me in Cleveland Clinic for 10 days of testing and they found I was hypothyroid. I have taken some sort of thyroid medicine my whole life....nowadays it's fairly common but back in the late 50's it was unknown, hence the medical journal article from the doctor. Other than that, I'm just one of the pack...which is fine by me!

I was born at midnight so they never knew when to have my birthday - lol. I was also born with a 'veil' over my face (sometimes known as a 'caul' baby)which is supposed to indicate clairvoyance.

Susie I have heard before if your 2nd toe is longer than your big toe then you are smarter than other people that their 2nd toe is shorter.

Not so weird Susie, I have the toes thing too!!! and HM one of my brothers was also born at midnight..he changes from year to year which day he will call his bday even though the doc had my mom choose a date for the birth cert. she picked after midnight since that was great grandmas bday too.

Oh gosh so true, 2B. Especially since Rocky has started answering and talking back to me like his brother Huddy. He could do anything as long as he was talking to mama and I wouldn't even CARE.

I have been pondering my uniqueness as well. I am left handed but do plenty with my right hand. I am duel brained, I can easily shift from the creative right side to the logical left side. My second toes on both feet are longer than my big toes. I can remember phone numbers, don't ask me why, but I can recite a phone number from the top of my head. My eyes are blue that change colors as well, blue, blue green, green, and gray. My daughter is a lefty too and her eyes change color, hazel to bright green. I am a painter (artist).

Oh, one more thing. My little toe nails on both feet are practically non-existant. Just little bitty things that grow straight up instead of out. They are kind of hard to paint and I sometimes will put extra paint on my little toes to make my nails look normal! GROSS

LOL,just remembered my innards are famous. I had laser ablation for endometriosis and the implants were everywhere and hard to remove. The Dr videoed the operation and showed it when he spoke at conventions. Too bad I don't get some sorts of compensation...grumble...
oh and my second toe is longer too,it kinda made me avoid sandals a lot in high school but I don't give it a second thought now. -
Don't feel bad Tinafish, my little toe nails are like that too and I don't like them, have tried for years to file them to look like something else but no such luck. It' is nice to know I am not the only one though.

That continues to fascinate me, Kykat! So it seems to be a variety of factors. Thanks for the update! Have you ever heard of something called the tapetum? It's what many animals *cats, etc, have that makes their eyes glow in the dark. Well, some humans have something similar, but I forget what it's called, that reflects like a mirror does, and can change shape according to pressure in the eyeball. Now, I have to go dig out my books and try to remember what it's called! So it is genetic. Now I feel sorry for people with blue or green eyes whose eyes don't change color! You really are unique!

I have a "tattoo" on my intestines. Literally! They put a tattoo with some sort of measurements on it if I even need surgery again. It has something to do with the dimensions of my original intestines vs. what they are now. I have a picture of it somewhere!

I have the longer second toe too. I don't like it - I'd like neatly diminishing toes, in a sloping line down to the little one. I'd love to have mood eyes - wow, that is extraordinary! I do have a streak of orange rust in one eye though; the rest is green. Jeankit, I love the accordion! My brother plays it so well, and I think it sounds so atmospheric.

I was reading the eyes changing colors on kykat's posts - and well, mine do it a little, but my biggest thing is my left eye is blue and my right eye is green (sometimes the difference is striking, but most of the time it is a subtle difference).

Lets see-my left foot is 1 1/2 sizes smaller than my right-always have to buy 2 pairs of the same style shoes in different sizes!
Also, I have an older brother and 4 younger sisters that I have never met-been searching for them for years.
(The book was "Making Toy Trains In Wood" by Tim, Tom and Ginger Lynn. My ex and I had a toy business. The book was plans for different toy trains. Tim did the art work, Tom did the designs and I wrote stories about each of the different trains. The editor said it read like a novel. Sold pretty well.)

Ginger is that book still in print? I also have feet that are different sizes. I have to have shoes made to fit my feet for work especially since they swell so much. One is an 11 wide, the other an 11 extra wide. My feet have flattened and grown since I have broken (between both feet) my ankles 11 times! I am a klutz in case you didn't notice!

Getting back to 'toes', my second toe is longer too! And my piggy toe-nail is just a thick blob of nail, no shape. I recently have been top filing them and they are better. Then put onn some polish. Can't live in Florida without nailpoish on your toes. I think it is un-Floridian. PM you are NOT boring!!! *where's that bonk stick when you need it*
