  1. I have a daughter that dresses me! LOL I have what I can and cannot wear beat into me. Cuz ya know, as the mother of a teenager.. I have to look as cool as her! LOL

  2. One of my favorite stores is Limited. Go during the week when it is not so busy and you will have your own personal assistant to help you choose clothes for your body type. A little pricy, but really good quality, and the help is awesome (especially if she knows what she is doing),

  3. What good advice, Merd, I hope that the ladies can get help at that store.

Daughters dressing you is a difficult thing and god knows the kids let you know. I have the grandaughter thing with that, so I can understand. Rolling the eyes, saying, are you really going to wear that??!! Best of luck to the ladies!

  4. MerD - I own a pair of Spanx! But I think I have only worn them once. I got claustrophobic with them on. When I am in the States I have always found it really difficult to find clothes I like - I have to say that often the US fashions can be 'behind' what we have in the stores here in NZ and not just seasonally.

  5. Well, girls, am off to watch the end of the football game and relax. Hope you all have a great rest of the night and enjoy!

See you soon. Until then, May the angels kiss you gently while you sleep. Much love to all, Mama Lynn

  6. MerD, you are right!... My daughter always wants to "dress" me, but with her off to college now, it's been much harder!... I'll have to entice her back home for a "shopping" weekend soon!....

.... Night all, I'm off to bed now, sweet dreams, and "beautiful sunsets" from the Mountains of NC!.....

  7. *yawn* I'm off to bed too. I'm very tired tonight.

  8. Good Night! Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite! (ewww, bed bugs)

  9. My 11 year old daughter now has started critiqueing my clothing choices and I've found myself asking her opinion. She's 11 - what does she know!

  10. MERD - Hi Neighbor! Glad to see you again!

  11. Hi Karen! I was thinking of you the other day..

  12. I'm still around, work has been busy for the company for the past couple of months and we got caught up on our mortgage so all in all - I'm good. How are you and your daughter adjusting to all the changes you have had to go through?

  13. I'm doing better. She is not enjoying having to move back and forth between homes every week. She wants to constantly take all her clothes with her, as well as her school stuff, and soccer stuff. Makes me feel really guilty.

Posted 2 years ago by MerD #

  14. Do not feel guilty! You needed to go this route for you and she really will get it later in her life - one of the worst things for a child is to see her parents unhappy with the way life goes. I know - it is some of what I saw growing up in my own family and I am grateful that my Mom was strong enough to do what needed to be done. Feel proud that you are a strong woman and are raising another strong woman!

  15. I know. The alternative of staying was worse for everyone involved. Thanks. :)

  16. Richard just came into the office here and gave me an early anniversary present - a weekend trip for our 27th in September - I am looking to go to some hot springs - probably in Idaho Springs - unless I find something better but not much farther - do you know of or have you been to any that you could recommend?

  17. Quietly pushes the door in just a wee bit to check on the NS, hears soft snoring throughout the room, sees the faint shadows of tails flicking just a bit, the music playing low......pulls the door back just a little bit and heads down the hall and back to lying down to see if this headache will just go away or calm down some.....sleep well my friends and scritches to the furbabies.....

  18. Hi, Deb, just looking in before dinner. Hope your headache goes away and you feel better soon. I'll probably look in tonight after 11ish. Sleep well.

  19. Shhhhhhhhhh, the kits are all still curled up sleeping.
Just peeking in for a while before attempting to get an early night. (Yeah, right!)

  20. It's been 3 hours since the last post so I'm guessing most people are tucked up in their beds(US) or out at work(UK). I'm heading off to bed now to curl up with my trusty hot water bottle.

It's 11.05pm NZ time, ...the night is chilly in NZ and cool to d**n hot in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV , & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<

  21. Sleep well MS if its that time and its inching closer :) Also scritches to Shadz whom I suspect is probably sleeping in her bean bag near the fire.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  22. HRH Shadz is in the bean bag but I didn't bother to light the fire with only me and the cat at home at night. I just snuggle under a blanket and Shadz rustles herself deeper in the bean bag.

  23. MS, Hubby is still working the midnight or late shift?

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  24. Yes, he's still working the 6pm - 6am shift, 7 days a week and possibly will be for several more weeks. We're getting into the swing of it now and our bodies have adjusted.
