"It's just an old alley cat that has followed us all the way home. It hasn't a star on its forehead, or a silky satiny coat. No proud tiger stripes, no dainty tread, no elegant velvet throat. It's a splotchy, blotchy city cat, not a pretty cat, a rough little bag of old bones. 'Beauty", we shall call you. 'Beauty', come in.

    Enjoy this one too. KPMom

  2. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....it's also in the eyes of a kitty who has seen too much on the streets and is grateful for a soft bed, a bit of food and a loving human touch. Thanks KPMOM!!

  4. My baby boy Stink was a gutter snipe when he came home with me. He was scrawny, greasy, skinny, flea infested, and stunk from every orifice of his tiny body. That is STink in my avatar.

  5. That was lovely and purrfect Kpmom! Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder and the purest of beholders can find the greatest of beauty in the neediest of God's creatures. Sigh!

Tina...Love your little Stink! He sure looks healthy and comfy. A sweetie pie for sure. =D

  7. Tina Stink is gorgeous, Is he real dark grey?? Also I'm curious how did he get the name Stink?

  8. I suspect that the name Stink resulted from, "He was scrawny, greasy, skinny, flea infested, and stunk from every orifice of his tiny body."

  9. A wounded stray cat that comes to you for help, when he has merely been polite in the past - that is your reward, the highest honor a cat lover can achieve. KPMom.

  12. Hi Y'all, Stink is more of a very dark brown black. More black than brown but when he is in the light you can see the brown. I think he has a little maine coon in him, not his size, he has tufts of fur between each toe and small tufts on his ears. He is the sweetest cat!

  13. I have a haiku for this.
    -------------------------------
    There's no such thing as
An ugly cat. Just some more
    Beautiful than others.

    So says Mycat. KPMom.

  14. The neighborhood cat, "Lucky"/cause he has another chance was a flea infested, matted hungry Main Coon type cat who has turned into a much cared for by neighborhood, pretty healthy, almost tame feral cat!(Just can't keep him indoors yet!)Thanks, a tribute to Lucky & all of the other special cats out there!

  15. My one regret, living in a third floor apartment; No stray cats at my door any more. Great view, though. KPMom

  16. I have a tom cat that showed up over a year ago. He was all beat up had an abcess on his neck. He stayed out of reach for a while until I caught him once and he figured out I wasn't going to hurt him. He now rubs my legs. He got the name scruffy tom, he now knows his name but he is not so scuffy anymore. He is strickly a outside cat has no intrest in, but in the winter I put a "brooder" light in a bed I have fixed on my enclosed back porch and he and the others keep warm.
