Hi all!
I'm a bit bummed. Everyone from the new job are going to happy hour to celebrate our last two deals - one of which I got. Bosses are treating. I couldn't get anyone to cover at the gym, so I'm working :(
I figured we can have a virtual happy hour instead, followed by some dinner. I am of course having a blue berry martini. What can I get for everyone else?

... I'll take one "dirty" and extra olives!...... good news from the mountain!... Hubbs is leading in the first round of the championship!... He's so excited, and I'm very proud of him!... Cuddles and Abbs are doing great, the "girls" are getting into a routine, and they are LOVING their time looking at the birds and listening to the wind!.....
I will have a "Sven" to curl up to while I take a nap. See you later !!!

We are eating dinner and trying to get Maddie to eat...she wants to go to the park but won't eat so we told her we won't go unless she eats something...so it looks like we are staying home..

AWESOME GD! I'm positive that soon they will be having a happy hour in your honor and you will be able to attend! Did you go full time with this company? I'm just grabbing an iced chai to go since I'm going to be doing some driving while running errands but when I get back... it's celebration time! See you all soon and enjoy happy hour!

Here's a "virtual" toast to GD!!! I am confident you will start doing so well you can afford to only have one job and be able to go and celebrate your future successes! Since this is cyberspace and I can have what I want...how about a Bombay Sapphire & tonic with a twist of lime? LOL, in real life I have to use a cheaper brand...oh well! Happy Friday y'all!
Thanks, Lainey! The boss at the new job mentioned on Monday that he wants to speak to me when we're done with the current show next week about going full time. He wants me full time and wants to talk about what it'll take to make me quit the gym. I've been pushing myself to do really well before that talk. I got 12 appointments this week, which is a record for me! :)

Av, GG had mentioned going for drinks last Friday and that he'd call me at nine. He didn't call til 9:40 and I was both tired and annoyed he called 40 minutes late, so I didn't answer. I don't know that he'll ask me for drinks again. We've been chatting on Facebook about having drinks, but I don't know.....
Good evening all. GD, sorry you cannot attend your 2nd job celebration of a job well done. Here is a Madras in your honor. A Madras is part rum, orange juice, cranberry juice and sometimes pineapple. Sweet and tasty and if made strong..makes you nice and happy too! Sorry that GG isn't working out. Sounds like he might just be a friends only kind of person if he cannot follow through on things. You have a lot of patience with him though.
Back from Las Vegas and am very tired. My flight was delayed an hour and 15 minutes due to it being a plane coming from Austin, TX and they had bad weather there that delayed their departure which delayed my departure from Las Vegas. I can say I am happy to be back home and my cats left me a nice mess even with the pet sitter. Mia knocked over the water reservoir so there was water all around the pet food area. I had to remove everything to mop up the floor with some kitchen towels. Growl! I cleaned that all up, gave them fresh water and fed them some fresh wet food which they happily ate. Also, their automatic litter box was not working as it seems someone peeded up near the front of the box and that the clump of litter was stuck to the bottom of the litter box so it caused the rake to not be able to move the clump and therefore jammed up. This caused the cats to still continue to use the box and so it was a bit full of litter clumps of cat waste. I had to fix that too.
Both kitties seemed a bit standoffish when I got home today. At first Mia seemed a bit apprehensive with me but has warmed up now. Sylvester was happy to see me and he got a nice brushing as well as a lot of belly rubbing and head scratching. He was purring up a storm and curling his paws. As soon as I can get a hold of the petsitter to get my keys to the building and pay her, then I can go out and go buy Sylvester a fresh catnip plant and maybe a new toy too in celebration of his birthday.
After days of dry heat, it feels so moist here in my area. The temperature is around 79 degrees and feels a bit warmer what with going from an area of less than 10% humidity to 49% humidity. The dry heat and being in doors in air conditioning almost 24 hours a day, wreaked havoc on my sinuses. Being back in the bay area will help get my sinuses back to somewhat normal in a day or two.

Karin, I can't figure him out - from texting and facebooking, he certainly doesn't seem like he just wants to be friends. I don't know, though - I think I'm giving up!
I can't wait to go home tonight! I've got 40 more minutes. Unfortunately the darn fighters just showed up, so I'll probably end up leaving late since they never get out of here on time!
GD, I don't think we will ever be able to understand men!

GD, sorry to butt in about GG but it seems that he wants you to be avail when he wants to do something, guess I am old-fashioned but if a guy waits til the last min to ask me out, hmmmm probably won't go. My time is just as valuable as his and how hard is it to plan drinks or something, ok thats my two-cents.
SMM glad to see that you got back home and that besides the mess with the water and litter box, they are safe and glad to see you.
Still waiting to see if the hosp has been able to stabilize my Mom's high bp in the ER, then they can concentrate on this morning's stroke....so if you hear strange noises its just my fingers tapping while waiting.

...Daughter texted me, she didn't get an invite from her #1 fav... that made her sad! :(....... but she did say she did get invites from #2, #3 & #4, so that's good!... I told her not to get "too" bummed because things always work out for the best!... please keep her in your prayers!
Man, that's a total bummer, GD. I will have a Malibu & Coke and toast to you :)

You can certainly butt in, AZ! I was getting annoyed at waiting for him, too, that's why I didn't answer last Friday. I wanted to at the least send him the message that if he can't call on time, then I'm not going out with him. Your mom is in my prayers. (((AZ)))
Sorry your daughter didn't get in with her #1, AV. I bet she enjoys whichever one she ends up with, though.

I'm a bad mama. It's 8pm. Just remembered to take my meds that I usually take at 7pm...the same time I feed Leela. Oh...I forgot to feed Leela, ack! It's quite obvious Jiggs hasn't visited her in a dream to tell her to pester me at dinnertime.

Sorry to have disappeared everyone...had to finish dinner, bathe 2 girls and got Abbie to sleep already. Maddie went on the potty! whee..she only wants to after a bath though..

MC, yes she had one this morning, they called me @ a little after 8 a.m. and she has been in the ER since that time. Just want them to be able to control the bp and then they can concentrate on the stroke aspect.
