  1. Happy Caturday All! I hope your morning, afternoon or evening is going well. I am up early as I have to go to a wedding today! Do NOT want to go. It is an employee getting married and they are essentially "running off" to get hitched today. There are only about 10 of us going to be there so it would be obvious if I wasn't there. Not to mention how awkward it would be at work. Since its going to be a busy day here, I am bringing in all sorts of treats from Panera. The fuzzy calico's are placing them on the buffet. We have a full coffee bar, tea, juices, soda, milk and water. Please snuggle a kitty, they get lonely on the weekend!

  2. ((MC))
How fun though...think of it as a celebration and you are included :)
mmmmm Panera...yum!!!! I will take an English Fold, a Calico and a tabby....

We are either going to the zoo or the park today. it's beautiful like 75 today and no humidity!!! Whee..

So get this..last night I am laying in bed and I hear a thump over my head...well I am upstairs..so I figure it's a raccoon..they get on our roof..cuz then I heard little nails on the roof....well 5 minutes later, Wayne comes up and says what's that noise..I say what noise..I think we have a raccoon on the roof. well here they got into the eaves/baffles..we have one that is open that needs fixed..so Wayne gets all macho like he will go after them...I say how...you can't fit up there and they can attack you and you get rabies...so then I go out the front door where the broken eve is and there are 2 little ones peeking out...they are not scared of me but Wayne is waving a flashlight around and they are whining..one tried to get out by the way of a bush but couldn't really grasp what do to and he/she went back into the baffle...I don't know where the other one went..I told Wayne we are scaring them so let's go inside and they should come out..he huffs and puffs..I don't want raccoons in our house..well the baffle doesn't lead anywhere and I am sure they will come out. I left a cut up apple on the porch so I hoped they smelled it and came out.

  3. That's crazy CM! Glad that they didn't attack Wayne, that could be very bad. A calico has loaded up a tray for you and is sending it thru the wormhole. Is maddie getting to go to the park today then?

  5. Good morning MC & CM. I've just closed the Night Shift office for the next 10 hours or so. You two do have exciting lives, run away weddings and raccoons in the eaves. Nothing to eat for me tonight, I'm yawning away here and off to bed with a hot water bottle very soon. just 'saved' Shadz from a fight although I think she was winning. She sitting in the bean bag looking a bit grumpy at the moment but I bet she'll come up to bed with me.
Morning Lainey, you snuck in while I was typing.

  8. We looked at and she tried on more dresses, confirmed the style that really suits her. Now we just have to find a dress that doesn't cost both legs and both arms. Wow they're ridiculously expensive. We had success in finding something else she was looking for so the day was not a complete loss. Her friend/bridesmaid came with us and we tried out some dresses on her too and got the visual set in our minds, now we have to work on the reality.

  9. Food coming to everyone! Seems as though I didn't win the lottery last night (270 million) so we will have to wait for the global TDK meet up!

  10. MS, I am amazed at how much dresses cost for weddings! It is crazy for that one day! I think IF I ever get married and because I am older, I might have a friend (who is a seamstress) make me a nice gown but nothing fancy. Funny thing is my coworker is 55 and this is her second marriage. She is marrying some younger guy who has no job, nothing. He is lazy and has no ambition. I think that they are destined to fail, you know "love is blind" sort of thing. Her husband died from cancer 9 years ago and I think they were both lonely and are not thinking straight. They want to not be alone the rest of their lives. Once the bloom is off the rose though.......

  11. Meegz is going to see a dressmaker and find out how much that avenue is likely to cost At the moment we are finding it's the tiny things that are hardest to sort out and the bigger things seem like they will fall into place. I hope they do.

  12. I only paid about 500-600 dollars for my dress. I refused to pay any more for a dress I would only wear once...
Afternoon PM!! How is Pickle and Garbo?

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  13. Hark..I hear Abbie....well the day has begun, if I don't talk to you later...MS have a good nights sleep...PM have a wonderful rest of your day...MC have fun at the wedding..and I am sure I will see you on FB later :) Off to get the baby fed.....hugs to all

  14. My mum made my dress as she was a dressmaker who specialised in wedding dresses back then. Now her eyesight isn't up to it.
Time for me to head off to bed now, up at sparrow f**t again. Have a wonderful day everyone.

  16. *Skids into morning cafe, panting....*

Morning all, darn it, have I missed MS again? oh well, my own fault, I was typing up an interview, I am pleased to have a lot of work on at the moment, but it does get in the way of TDK, one day I'll work out how to do both at once, lol...

  18. Hi, MC, I was just about to holler and listen to the echoes in an empty caff ;-)

Happy Caturday to you too. I'm sorry you have to go to a function you don't really want to (I know what *that's* like) but maybe you'll enjoy it once you get there.

Is FF working today? Otherwise you could show him off :)

  25. Morning all!..... I got a late start this morning, I was up making Hubbs a big breakfast, to send him out to his tourney well fed...... He had the leading round yesturday, so he's pumped for today!...... The weather here right now is pea soup, so I feel so sorry for all the golfers trying to play in this, but it should burn off soon - I predict quite a few lost balls today!.....

..... today is the BIG day for daughter.... she finds out what sorority pledges her.... she's a nervous wreck..... there are two she would accept, so hopefull one or both will give her a bid.....

....Cuddles has definitely settled into the mountain lifestyle - her "bowl" (blanket) is in a comfy chair right next to the sliding door in the guest room that goes out to the deck.... she loves me to leave the door open, with the screen locked, so she can see and hear out - up here, we hardly ever turn on the AC, I havent' had it on at all since we've been here - I jut leave the doors open (screens locked of course) and it's beautiful!......

  26. Garbo and Pickle haven't met yet, I'll try that tomorrow or Monday. Pickle is getting a bit braver, she doesn't go under the drawer anymore while I'm in the room, she just goes into the drawer. I touched her back this morning while she was eating her breakfast. She spat and jumped, spilled her water bowl (water everywhere) and scooted back under the drawer. I'll have to go more slowly, I suppose.

  27. I'm so glad Cuddles is enjoying herself in the mountains, AV. Good for her!!!
I leave my windows open with the screen in for my boys, too - they love hearing and smelling nature.

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  28. Awww, poor scared Pickle! I hope she calmes down soon. Maybe you should try some Bach's rescue remedy in her water?

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  29. We don't have screens in our windows in UK. It would solve a lot of problems if we did. In order to stop the cats escaping until they are vaccinated/spayed etc. we have to keep all the windows shut tight. When we have any summery weather (I know we don't have that very often in the UK ;-) ) it can get quite uncomfortable in the house.

  30. I think I'll get a new bottle for the Feliway diffuser and see if that works. She doesn't seem to drink much/any water. She eats well though.
