Well, Suzie and Kissie are set up with thier spay appointment at the end of the week and after they recover they will be put up for adoption at the Humane Society. I got a call today when I was out and couldn't return it since I got home late. The foster co-ordinator wants to know if I can take on a small litter of unweaned bottle babies. I say - Heck yes! I'm on it. Meowmy Kitty is back in business :) Just hoping no one else jumped on them before I get a chance to call back in the morning.

WTG SF! You are an awesome Momma Kitty! Let us know when the babies arrive! I am sure they will keep you very busy if it is a LITTER! What does "small litter" mean to the Humane Society!?

They usually won't foster out more than 3 but sometimes 4.

Thanks all! I am so excited - I have been down and doubting my bottle-rearing abilities since the death of Callie and Tiger. My sweet husband looked at me and told me it wasn't my fault - they were probably sick from the get-go and the vets just didn't catch it. That alone gave me the courage to get back in the saddle so-to-speak with orphans - really hoping I make that call in time!

Sometimes we are our own worst enemies and we have to remember others see our "true" selves. Your hubby knows you are a good Kitty Meowmy and just needs to remind you that God needed those babies back. BUT, He is sending MORE! YAY! Kittens! We luv kittens!

God Bless You! You are a gift to furbabies everywhere. I foster as well and know that although it is hard and at times heartbreaking, it is more often the most rewarding thing in my life! = as I say this our new as yet unnamed foster is typing hence the "=" Bless you in all that you do and I hope and pray that those babies get to come stay with you!

Unfortunately I didn't get my call in soon enough - apparently they were swamped and had to get those babies (only 2) out as soon as possible so they fostered them out to another volunteer. They do know I am available, and I will be the first call they make for the next ones that come in - guess I'll be checking my messages every couple of hours from now on!
