Jeankit - just been lurking. Been in a dark mood and didn't need to spread it here. Still pulling out of it, but felt if I jumped back in the TDK pool it would help. So... here I am, and thanks for noticing I was gone. :)

Could I have some colorful sprinkles too? I am certainly in a funk myself. Found out what I thought was the start of a "little" bladder infection is in fact sepsis in my system. They wanted to put me in the hospital and I declined that marvelous idea. I am taking some high dose antibiotics for five days and then I get rechecked. UGH

I'm sorry things have been bad, 2p. I was hoping that it was all looking bright for you.
MC, I hate to lecture you, but....... you cannot deliver the high powered antibiotics at home the way that you can in the hospital. To have antibiotics given IV will knock an infection out in half the time of oral meds. Perhaps you should reconsider?

Yes, WWM, I do realize that. I just don't want to be back in the hospital. I am trying ABX by mouth for five days and have a recheck. When I had sepsis in 2005, I was in the hospital for an entire week. It was sooooooo long...

Sepsis! OMG MC! ACK!!! We have got to get you well for the big weekend!!!!! I will be crushed if you aren't a part of it. Of course I will have a car and will come to Rockford if I have to, but would much rather have you feeling helathy and ready to have fun!

I took today off from work what with last week being so grueling (8am-10pm) and went out this morning to buy cat food, yes gasp, I ran out of wet cat food last night. So I went to the pet shop and got food and while I was there I got some fresh cat nip plant and a toy for Sylvester in honor of his birthday last Thursday. The toy is a an octogonal (sp?) with a mouse inside that squeaks when you move it. Both cats are having a ball at the moment. I rubbed the mouse with some fresh cat nip and they can't get to the mouse to lick it which is what Sylvester would like to do.
I stopped off at the new Panera in my area (conveniently located next to the pet store) and bought a breakfast sammie and a small fresh orange juice. I was tempted to buy a bearclaw but the cashier didn't ring me up for one so I didn't get one. They conveniently open up at 6am Mon-Fri so that means I may go there in the am on my way to work 1-2 times a week and on the weekends sometimes for a salad or sandwich. Yum!!

It was Pickle. Garbo never bites hard although she "mouths" me from time to time. I put my hand out to her to sniff again and she had obviously had enough so she sank her teeth into the knuckle of my right index finger. Those teeth are sharp - she drew blood!

.... it really was a beautiful day!.... I've only got 5 more days of "heaven" .... then back to "reality"!..... I'm trying to savor every moment!....
..... I truly think Abby and Cuddles will be sorry to leave too!..... they have been so relaxed and "nice" to each other up here!..... I'm hoping that continues once we're back in Fla........
... what's everyone making for dinner?...... tonite I'm making my Russian friend's potatoe salad, with gourmet hamburgers... I found these really cool "flat bread" buns in Fresh Market - thin buns, but sturdy, and only 100 calories!..... since Hubbs and I aren't really "bread" people, they seem perfect!.... I'll let you know how that taste/hold up to the burgers!.....

Dinner- mostly likely left over pot roast with potatoes and carrots. Still not sure if I'm going on the hike tonight. It's currenly 100F, so it's cooler than the past several weeks; but I feel sooooo tired. Maybe a hike is just what I need. Maybe I should stay home and sleep. Just can't make up my mind.
