LOL, 2P!! Yes, Kykat, inquiring minds would like to know what are drunken noodles? Are they drowning in sauce...ba dump bump!
Okay it is a very busy morning what with swimming in emails at work but I managed to get through them all. I went to bed late last night (around 11am) and my stupid upstairs neighbor comes home just as I am falling off to sleep only to walk around making the floor boards creak and pop. I was wide awake until she went to bed which I am to assume around midnight. Up at Sparrow Fart (5:45am) is really for the birds. Speaking of birds. I think the calico cat came calling again last night as I faintly heard the dove fly off and this morning the nest was empty. I think it got two baby birds along with three unopened eggs. These babies I think hatched just about four days ago and didn't even get a chance to grow to the point of being ready to fly. Sad but part of nature.
So in light of the fact that I am feeling sleepy, can I have a nice chocolate croissant and a large mocha too, please. I enjoyed my "velcro cats" this weekend but I could use a nice purring and affectionate blue british shorthair. Their fur is so soft!

Good afternoon everyone!...... played in the ladies golf game this morning, we did ok, we came in second!...... Cuddles and Abby have reached an unspoken truce, their food bowls are now side by side, and while Cuddles still won't let Abby eat at the same time, she does back off for a while and let Abby get a few bites, they she goes back in.......
... I love the idea of a beach Cafe, how fun!.....

Hi, Everyone!!! I'm late because I've been in a mostly comatose state for the past hour or so. Mr. WWM and I went for a 38 mile bike ride this morning and about half of it was into a strong headwind. I am tired! And no - Mr. WWM was definitely NOT wearing a Speedo!!!
Frankly, I think that we should all write our congressmen and suggest that Speedo's be outlawed on anyone past the age of six months.

Drunken noodles are wide but very thin rice noodles in a slightly spicy sauce. The sauce has oyster sauce, thai chile, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, thai basil and black pepper. There is no alcohol in the sauce, the neame refers to how much you want to drink to combat the spiciness. It had carrots, mushrooms and pork in with it too and it was wonderful! Normally it has green peppers and onions too but I am alleggic to onions and don'tlike green peppers so I had them leave them out and do extra mushrooms instead. I love the thai noodles. Now I need a nap and more water!

We might do a ride in El Paso next month, 2p. There's a 34 mile and 50 mile loop. I can do the 34 with no problem, which means - I'd like to try for the 50!

Wow, WWM, I'm still struggling to do the 9 miles each way to work and back. My excuse is that there's a big hill in the way - you'd probably think it's not much more than a pimple in the road!

Sounds spicy and hot, Kykat. I think I would need a nice fruit smoothly after that kind of meal. Wow WWM..you go girl! Does this mean you and Mr. WWM are going to bike to either the Austin meetup or the So Cal meetup?
Pickle is so cute in the photos. It took Mia a while to warm up when I first got her and when she is upset she reverts back to her feral personality which is she doesn't want to be touched. She hasn't really ever liked being held either. Actually when I opened the door on Friday returning from Las Vegas, she crouched down like she was ready to flee. I guess having the petsitter upset her a bit. It took her longer than Sylvester to warm back up to me. Poor Mia. She had such a hard beginning.

Ooh, yay! Pickle photos!! She's so beautiful, PM.
All this talk about Penzey's, I just had to share the story of the nicest wedding gift Mike & I got after we ran off and got hitched. Several weeks later, after we told his daughters, there was a knock on our door one night and there was the UPS delivery guy with this huge box. It turned out to be the Penzey's Wedding Gift Crate, and it was from Mike's daughters. I have to confess, I was so touched, I babbled like a complete idiot when we called to thank them.

.... WWM!.... 38 miles on a bike ride!.... I'm impressed......I have a friend up here in the mountains that is a biker - she rides about 15 to 20 miles a day, IN THE MOUNTAINS!........ I don't see how she does it!....... my hat is off to all those dedicated bikers out there!......

Morning all. Well, its still morning for me and a very windy one here in Wellington. I love the lakefront setting we have the cafe in today. Is that a lighthouse I spy over there? MC - dunk your head in the lake - it might cool off your headache.

I'm am doing Ok! I'll be having the surgery on the knee in about 2 weeks, I almost can't wait! I actually met someone who had almost the same surgery i'm having by the same doctor at physical Therapy the last week she was operated on a Thursday and was at Pt on Tuesday, she was on crutches and told me the first 2days are the worse, I saw her today she was walking without the crutches, with a slight limp and she said it feels so much better! so at least I have an idea of what to expect!Posted 2 years ago by 3 kits staff #
