Charmed

  1. A sweet blonde child approached me as I mowed my lawn out front yesterday. He was about 8, and carried a tupperware container with some cup cakes in it. He explained that he and his sisters had made them, and that they were selling them to raise money for his mother's surprise 40th birthday party on Saturday next. I was so charmed, I bought the remaining three, gave him a fiver for them, which was more than he asked, and told him I'd be proud to have a son like him. His sisters were hanging in the background - clever girls knew their cute blonde brother would charm the ladies better than they would! He was so gracious and appreciative. I told him to wish his mother a very happy birthday!
