Oh Lainey, that is just SO SO SAD!!!!! But, glad the cards cheered you up. I know I cannot send everyone on the list a card, but will do my best. I received about 35 cards last year and each one was treasured! I enjoy looking over them from time to time too. :)
Did you eventually open the cards that you received? I have been out of touch for over a year, so don't know what happened, but glad you decided to come back. TDK is just too special to be away from. I hated that I couldn't go on each day like I used to cause of having no working computer. But, now I am blessed to have one again! What a gift!

I was thinking.... just cause someone can't send cards this year, doesn't mean they can't still have their name on the list to receive cards. I sent out cards two years ago, but couldn't receive any at the time. Some people just send to everyone on the list, but may not get as many back. There may even be some TDKers that wish to help others out with stamps for instance? Now, that is an idea! Maybe it should be done through email though. That is one of the reasons it's good to have the list with TDKer's email addys. This way we know who to help out if we can. Another option is... this year send out to some on the list, and the following year send cards to other names. I'm sure any cards received would be grately appreciated. One could even put names in a hat and pick as many names as one could afford to send to. It all works. I hope these ideas help out cause I would hate for some of us to lose out on such a wonderful idea. I know, it would really hurt me, if I couldn't take part in all the enjoyment of TDK cards! So, what do you all think?

BB, its been crazy. I can tell this is a really tough year for everyone. Some people have been very sad because they can't send cards so they think they should be taken off the list. I said, no, I didn't think that was necessary, as they could still "receive cards"! Several people can only send a handful, others only e-cards. My thoughts are send/do what you can and don't feel obligated to do more. I don't think there are any hard and fast rules as to what is required. Just do what you can, its about YOU and what YOU can afford. I would be fine with just sending cards and not receiving them. I know how it is to be down at the holidays and getting cards really perked me up. That is more meaninful, you know, "It is better to give then receive"!

EXACTLY MC! Everyone knows it's ard times! And whether it's an e-card a store bought card or even homemade, whether it's 160 cards or 1 it does not matter it's the actions of spreading joy to one person for a nice christmas holiday!
Everyone deserves a bit of christmas cheer even if this year circumstances in their lives mean they can not send any out!

Barb, email me directly at mollycat71 at yahoo dot com. I will need your TDK name, real name and addy as well as any two legged family members and the names of your fur family members. That's it! I will probably send it out a little after the first of October. A few folks here will be having new addresses at the beginning of October so that will be the final touches to the list! Be thrilled to add you!
