Puddytat is asking for some prayers

  1. Hello TDKers! I'm sorry that I have been gone for a while. I have had no service at my house for a while. They finally restored service so here I am!
    I am asking for some kind thoughts and prayers for by sister Kappie. She had to send her wonderful, sweet schnauser Miss Madison to the bridge on Friday. Miss M was 14 and had been declining in the last two weeks. She got to the point of not eating and could not stand very well. Kappie and Miss M decided that it was time. She had been such a good friend and companion. It was so brave of Kappie. We both live with only our fur friends. There have been many tears and she says that her house is so empty. My big sister and only sibling is one of the bravest people I know. She is a cancer survivor, loves her family fiercely, has a huge caring heart and will go to the ends of the earth for her friends. Please think of her and say a prayer of comfort for her. I can't tell you how special she is. She is going to come to visit me this weekend and meet the new kitten (Hadley) and get some Wilbur and T-Do love. Perhaps it will fill a bit of that lonely space. Again, thanks.

  2. Sending comforting thoughts for you Sister Kappie. We had the same decision for the same reasons for our wonderful 18 year old Lab/Springer Spaniel Nellie some years ago and is was heart breaking but we knew it was the kindest thing we could do for her. Mr MS still misses his 'girl' and keeps her collar hanging on the wall to remember her by.

  3. Sending hugs and positive thoughts to Kappie. How sad for her. It is one of the hardest things to have to deal with, the loss of a beloved baby. I hope in time she can find another friend and companion to fill her heart.

  6. Prayers for healing the sore place in your sister's heart. That decision is so hard and literally fulfills the definition of 'heart-ache.' I hope she will derive comfort from the thought that it was the best, last, thing she could do for her furry friend.

  15. Big {{{HUGS}}} and prayers going up for Kappie! I know the feeling. It just sucks. No other words to describe it. Even if you know you're doing the right thing, it hurts. Miss M is on the bridge with all the others waiting for us and playing and not hurting anymore!

  18. Many prayers coming to Kappie! Being that it is just me and the girls, I can't imagine the lonliness Kappie must feel. A pet makes a house a home and without them, it is so painful. Knowing Miss Madison is an angel now hopefully gives some comfort. I, too, pray that in time another animal will find its way into her lonely heart. Going to light a candle from KM's link.
