So I am taking a bath last night and I drift off into a nice light relaxed sleep. I am woken to Tommy Tiger sitting on my stomach all wet playing in the water! When I opened my eyes he looks back at me and meowed a couple times,I'm sure to tell me something important and then went back to smacking the water around. lol silly cat !!
Do any of you have a kitty that likes water??

When I had cats (all those 30+ years ago) I had one that loved to go play in the rain and living in Florida at the time, we had plenty of rain for him to play in, the same cat did everything but get into the tub with me - sit on the edge of the tub and talk to me and splash the water and drop toys into the tub as well. I also had a friend with an in-ground pool and a manx kitten - the kitten would jump in the pool with us every time we went swimming, but wouldn't get in the pool unless there was someone to play with. She really got excited when she would see us head out to the backyard.

LOL! Eric loves it when I have a bath, he just has to hear the taps being turned on and he charges into the bathroom. He'll perch on the edge (it's quite broad) and bats at the foam with his paw. I think he'd have a fit if he actually fell in and got wet, but he loves playing with the bubbles!

My Max loves water. He smacks his paw sin his water dish, he walks and sits in we sinks and bath tubs. He sticks his whole head under sink faucets and drinks from a running faucet. Best part the groomers say when they bathe him he is easy as pie. he just loves water!

LOL my kittens is beginning to love the water, he sits on the side of the tub and the sink just to watch the water drip. he is fascinated!

As many of the regulars on here know, my Melvin is an avid bath taker and just loves them. If I turn the bath on, he'll jump in and sit under the stream.
I think cats are all different and the saying that all cats hate water is a myth for sure!

Sid, the kitty my husband and I got right after we were married, loved to sit on the edge of the tub when I was in the bath. He would let his tail go into the bath, but never himself.
Once though, he was on a catnip-induced action buzz, and ran into the bathroom and smack into the tub of water I was running for a bath! He was so surprised! I swear he levitated up and out of the tub! Wet kitty prints everywhere in our tiny apartment.
He still came onto the side of the tub afterwards while I bathed, and even would sample the water in the 'big water bowl'. He seemed to prefer it when I used Skin So Soft. I would stop him, of course, I didn't think Skin So Soft would be good for kitties, but he sure was a comical character.
He's the kitty who also sampled my Irish Mist and liked it. (lol)
I added some new pics last night to the foster kitten album !! The last couple pages are of the boys at my condo - they are now construction kittens and love helping dad !! There is also a couple of Tommy Tiger playing in the tub! :) meow

Jiggs used to hop in the tub while I was taking a shower! At first I shooed him out. In the winter of '07, we hardly let the boys out as they were getting frail and we didn't want them to take off. This turned out to be very close to when Jiggs ended up leaving me for the Bridge. So after a while I let him come in. He would stay on the other side of the shower curtain and I would see a tail or paw here and there so he often got quite wet!
Once when hubby and I were taking a shower (what? we were saving water, hehe!) Leela jumped right in!

i cant keep scooby out of the water lol he absolutly loves it i have this infant tub and thats what i give him a bath in and he is so content in the water he falls asleep thats why i have the infant tub its quite funny
