His freak outs are very frequent and its only when he's sleepy when he is calm. i know its a kitten thing but i have never in the 20 years i've been alive had kitten quite like him.

Cats do not always match names with personalities. That said, however, my 14-year-old Lady Coco is as dainty and elegant as you would expect. She's always had good looks, knows it, and poses beautifully.
On the other hand, Sophie Dorothea, who was named for a countess, is a big, brawny loving Brunhilda of a cat. Maybe we rushed with her name, so we've started calling her something less aristocratic: Sofers.

My mother named Fred after Fred Astaire since he was so skinny and had the longest legs...Fast forward 10 years....Fred is now more like Fred Flintstone, a bit more rounded..lol We usually call him Bubby.
Cricket fits her name, she can bounce of anything like she is a cricket...lolPosted 2 months ago by cricketsmama #

Mine are named for how they look/act.
Storm always used to have a bad attitude (he finally grew out of that) and he is white - therefore storm
Blizzard i named for his color and attitude. siamese cats i like to name things associated with snow (Avalanche i think would more suit him now, his mood can change in an instant lol!)
Amiga is very friendly.
Shadow likes to hide in the shadows...he blends in really well!
Buddy is also very friendly.
Mo just is a Mo. don't know why but somehow he ended up being called mo.

Well...we were just laughing this morning about our cat: Tuffy. He's just as mellow and layed back as a cat can come. There's not a tuff thing about his personality at all. In fact it's just the opposite. Our Shady (my avatar) is perfectly named by his myriad of creme colors blended into whites and grays w/black. All varying shades. We named our Oreo...for obvious reasons. Her colors are defined with layers of black and white. Lastly...Sugarfoot..a true tuxie..was named for the dramatic contrast of her white socks on a predominately black color scheme. She looks like she walked through sweet sugar and it just plain liked her and stuck! =D

i used to have a kitty named shadow, but thats not why i named her that, she was always hidden when we brought her home and we had white walls so she looked like a shadow on the wall. XD i also have a cat named Cherokee and she.... um...... territorial, can be mean, heck she even brought home a dead copper head that she probably killed her self and she was PROUD! she is my second kitty that was mine all mine, now shes at my mom's since she loves the woods, id say she is an Native American cat.

LOL, I love the name Sugarfoot..Spaz too. We have three kitties, their names fit them pretty well. Tux, is a Tuxie of course..plus the name sounds sort of boyish and rascally which he certainly is. Ginger is a little calico beauty (my avatar is her baby pic), she is a gorgeous little girl but can be sort of the Diva (I was thinking of Ginger in Gilligan's island when I named her). Our newest kitty is Lissa her full name is Sweet Melissa (I love that song!!)...but it fits - she's really sweet and loves to be petted and purrs all the time.

My first two cats are named Boo Boo and Jetta. jetta because she is black (and the vet named her, I couldn't come up with one) and Boo Boo, well, I was hooked on the name to begin with and he was just teeny tiny and just reminded me of a Boo Boo! Steve got Indi for me. Since he didn't want to name her right away, he wanted to see her personality, she gave us her name when she ran around our apartment like it was the Indianaplis 500... thus Indi!
My Jetta, well, she is so shy, if I were to name her today it would be a very quiet, shy, demur name. Not sure what it would be, though! Wait, did I say quiet? LOL Some days she won't shut up!

Velvet is named because of her beautiful soft fur, just like velvet.
Spice is named because of her spicy personality and the fact that when she was a kitten, she raced around the home, always wanting to play, always wanting to be involved in what was happening in the household. I almost named her Salsa...

YAY! Anlother AMY on here! Whoo hoo! My Molly, well that's funny. I didn't know what to name her. I got a girl's baby book, looked at names and nothing stuck. She had been Zipper, didn't like that. Next family named her Baghera, didn't like that, I wanted something cute like her. So I was naming off names out of the baby book and she looked at me when I said "molly". She turned her head in that precious cute way and I knew. Betty and Wilma were named by a patient of mine. I want catchy names that were a pair. I had originally wanted two boys, who I was going to name Ben and Jerry. Well there were non boys in the litter so I got two girls. Its funny cause the girls have "grown" into Betty and Wilma. I can almost see the cartoon character traits coming out in each of them.

We thought the two brother barn cats we got when I was in the 5th grade were girls so they started out Cali and Baby. We found out they were boys and Cali changed to Calvin and Baby kept his name cuz he was the runt of the litter. Calvin's name ended up fitting him perfectly because he was a cool, dignified cat. Baby, however, grew into 20+ lbs of big dumb loveable cat so his name kinda migrated into Bubba or Bubby.
I'm not sure about Mogley's name... We usually end up calling him Mo, Mo Mo, or Mr. Mo. Those seem to fit him best. He's just a super sweet lil cat that loves to cuddle and play with his dogs :)

I think if the kitty was given a good name to being with they do live up to their names.
Mowgli is crazy, springy, a nutty kitten and he likes to climb stuff, we named him after the little boy in jungle book.
Tommy Tiger got his name when I caught him chewing on a bath towel, he had taken the Tommy Hilfiger tag off and the Tommy part was hanging out of his mouth lol! I dont think it hurts that he has tiger markings either :)

Pickle certainly lives up to her name - in English slang, getting into a Pickle means getting into trouble! My old cat Titch certainly DIDN'T live up to his name (English slang for little) - he was a podgy boy!

sumi was named for her personality, which she showed right from the beginning. The sumi was an ancient indian tribe of warriors, and sumi is always looking for a scrap, a regular little 'gurrier' (Irish slang for someone looking for trouble, from the french word 'guerre' - war). sumi is also a form of ink used in Japanese calligraphy, and sumi does look as if someone dribbled paint in patchwork mosaic patterns over her. miso's name is more obvious, as she is exactly the brown/black shade of miso, the japanese soya paste used as stock in soup. But still, it took a few weeks before we chose it, as there were many names suggested, which just didn't suit her at all.

Ferris Bueller! That name rocks!

Mamma Kitty was named after she had her first litter, and proved to be a wonderful mommy.
C.C. got her name because she was a Calico Cat, but C.C. could also stand for Cuddly Cat, Crazy Cat, or anything else we could think of when she would drive us nuts with her non-stop demands for whatever it was she wanted.
Pepper got her name from her spicy personality. That cat was trouble in a fur coat when she let her mischievous streak run wild. Of course she was a lovable little cuddle-brat much of the time.
My grandmother's cat Taz (the Tasmanian Devil) got his name because he was destruction in a fur coat. If I heard a commotion in another room, all I had to do was yell, "Taz, get out of it!" ('it' being whatever trouble he was into), and here would come Taz trying to act all innocent.
