Hi! I was wondering if anyone had the time to read our selection for August!? I noticed as summer rolled around participation has dropped off due to other outdoor activities (me too!). I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a discussion on the first or if we want to bump the book to Sept. 1. Please let me know, I will need to re-read the book this weekend to refamiliarize myself with it. I read it when it first came out. Trust me, I have been a slacker myself this summer when it comes to reading. I do much better in the winter, I devour books! Please keep this bumped! Thank you!

Duh, its "Three Weeks with My Brother" by Nicholas Sparks, a selection by Moi! It is a good one but I get it if you haven't had time to read it!

Mollycat, I got mixed up on the order of the books and haven't even bought it yet but I do plan to read it. I have enjoyed getting out of my reading rut. I would vote for moving it back to September and then the other books could all move back a month. I don't think we have books until December anyway.

I only read the beginning. I then had to go back to work--I am now swamped under! That is putting it mildly. I have 4 masters classes as well--I'm reading, but nothing as touching as "Three Weeks With My Brother." For some reason I thought it was another book--so I am mixed up!

I think it did get messed up a little. SOme of the books got moved around, that is why I was asking. I think more than a few people are confused! Maybe if everyone is ok, we can move it to September and then pick up with the list from there.

My copy should be arriving from Amazon any day now. I'm looking forward to reading it. I've read more books since the TDK book club started - both our reading selections and some on my own. I owe it to TDK for bringing the bookworm in me back! Well that and having my books on a real bookshelf instead of in boxes in the attic, which is where most of them were for almost 20 years!

Ok, then September's book will be the book from August! Discussion will be October 1st! Sounds great to me. I really thought it was a good book and would want people to be able to read it. Could we try to keep this bumped?
