almost anything can be made into an avatar, i do a lot of cruising on the internet. if i find a picture i like i save it, a picture from a video can be captured by shift-print screen. all that needs to happen then is to resize it and put it into an avatar catalog...
when you find something, let me know at choyt8 at stny dot rr dot come and i'll help you...

LOL!... Evening all!.... (how did Mystie get to NC?... JK!...) although, I would be proud to be her "aunt AV"!.....
...... sadly, packing tonite!.... the LLLLLLOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG drive home (to Fla.) tomorrow!....... don't want to go, but have to...... Abby and Cuddles are so relaxed up here, they will be really upset to get home!..... I think they might have had a clue, cause Cuddles was "suspiciously" snifing the suitcases, and Abbs was doing her "I know we're leaving, so I'll hide under the bed" routine!.......

.... I'm up late, packing and waiting for the fire to burn out and the dishwasher to finish!.... Hubbs wants to leave at before "sparrow fart" tomorrow, since it's a 12 hr. drive, so I may not get much shut eye tonight!......
... anyone out there want to chat?

Hi AV! I'm here. I don't envy you the long drive home - well actually I do as it would be all new scenery for me! But its still a tiring drive and I don't know how you do it with 2 cats. Dara being a loud Siamese would drive me nuts with miaowing.

KK, Abby (the meeze) is my "travel buddy"..... somehow, she just knows when to "quiet" that loud voice, and when it's "ok".....she flies on planes with me, or travels in the car, and is as good as gold!........pretty much, she just wants to be/go where ever I am!.....
.... I was worried about Cuddles, as she is old and never traveled, but I was impressed with her this trip!... I think she's just so glad to "go" and not get "left behind for Aunt Kathy to feed" that she, well pretty much, "rolled with the flow"!..... I will admit to giving her, her anexity meds for the ride!.... the vet orders them for anytime Cuddles has to come in for a "vet visit" or any change in her life..... (she's difficult)...

Our two get left behind at our local cattery when we go on holiday - they like it there. We've been taking our cats there for nearly 20 years through several different owners. The current owners are great - when we were in the States last year and Dara got sick they rang us to let us know that she had been taken to the vet and Sandra was very concerned about her. When Ninja, our previous Siamese died (aged about 16) they sent us a lovely card and also when Spike went missing.

.... I wish I had such a place in Tampa!.... years ago, I did, my old vet also ran a "pet holiday" place, which was wonderful, but it closed down about 5 or 6 yrs ago, and I just haven't found a place I trust since then!.....fortunately, my sister has been wonderful about helping out when we go off for long weekends!.....

Finally!... the dishwasher has finished, so I'll put things away and can go to bed!.. Night everyone (and Jill, who's lurking).... got a long drive tomorrow!

It's been 6 hours since the last post so I'm guessing most people are tucked up in their beds(US) or out at work(UK). I'm heading off to bed now to curl up with my trusty hot water bottle.
It's 11.20pm NZ time, ...the night is cool in NZ and not as hot as has been lately in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV , & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...
check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Boxcheck - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light,healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<

Peeking in to see if anyone is awake and to make sure that those sleeping were safe and comfy....the lights give off a soft glow, and the soft sounds of snoring are coming from the corners of the room, one can see the tails lightly flicking while the kittehs are sleeping and dreaming good dreams.
