do u have a hard carrier or a soft carrier? if they see a carrier they automatically think oh crap im going to the vet, but i do see that hard carriers will kinda scare adult cats. i have gotten my kitty so used to it that he even pays in his, but he has a soft one. so my advise is try to get a soft pet carrier. something that is cozy and they can look out. you can get them online or u may find them at a pet store.

call them. small dogs have to be on a leash. i think it would be the same for kitties...

you might just have to try to get him used to his carrier. put it in your living room opened and dont force him in it. he might sniff it out and if he sees you arent trying to force him in it he might come around to liking it.
