Why is it that I can get up and teach a boat load of kids, yet I can't seem to put together a PowerPoint to tell other teachers how I do it? I have all the slides--I just need to round out the information. Not tonight though--I need sleep!
Good Night and Peace to All!

Night SM. Sweet dreams of anything other than PowerPoint!

Oops - another mudslide please. Just p***ed off my manager again by querying something she had drafted in an email. Hey, if I didn't understand it the recipient sure wasn't going to! I think I must be getting old and cranky - I'm not prepared to just sit back and not speak up any longer. Even MrKK is finding that I'm more argumentative. Anyone else noticed this about themselves?

Oh, yeah. For about the first time in my life yesterday, I told a prospective client what I really wanted in the way of remuneration. I didn't get it but at least I said plainly, politely but quite firmly what I would prefer.
And I do think that living in France made me a lot more liable to express my dissatisfaction and utter frustration with shops, companies, service, people, etc. (They do not stand on ceremony in France, unless they are REALLY standing on ceremony.)
Also I keep having dreams in which I am totally obnoxious! What's up with that?

LOL Jcat! Maybe we can blame it on the wind at the moment. My manager sent me back a terse email telling me to just send my original email. But I sent one that was a blend of her additions and mine. See, I can compromise. I have noticed she is very cautious around me in the mornings trying to gauge what my mood is. She hasn't realised yet that she has used up her 'free trial' and now she has to pay!

Hasn't it been a foul blustery day? Yes, well, I would like to blame it on that... But I think it is probably just as well I don't work in an office any more. I never did handle office politics very well but these days, I don't think I would have any patience at all with anyone, unless they were frightened young new beginners. Especially bosses (you get paid more than me and you're still asking these dumb questions??)

Off to the train! Check your mailbox tomorrow Jcat - sent you something!

Ha, office politics, don't play well with them myself....actually I run with scissors and don't get cut! I find that I don't accept weak excuses on why those who should know and are quite capable of doing it themselves can't do something, or that they question how I do it but can't do it themselves. Was told that I 'expect' too much out of people at work......yep, yep I do, if one is being paid to do a professional job, then just do it...oh well. Off I go to my Friday, but tomorrow is a good day as I pick up the keys to the new house after I get off of work and then the move actually begins :)

Morning All! Sparrow Fart here, but I need to give myself time to get awake, and "become human" before I face an office full!..... Both Abby and Cuddles needed "kitty love" time this morning, each greeted me at the bedroom door when we started getting up......
.... I'm laughing at myself as I'm sitting here putting bandaids on my toes, so my new "heels" won't hurt my feet today!.... it's been 20 years since I've worn "work clothes", so it's taking some getting used to..... I bought some nice pant suits, blouses that I can mix and match, and a few conservative dresses/skirts that I can wear for more formal affairs........ I'm still scratching my head, as to why the pants are so long, that I must go to a taylor to get them hemmed........ at 5'8" tall, a size 0 hangs down almost 3 to 4 inches too long...... now I'm not some freak with unusually short legs - I actually have long legs, so what insane person made these suits?.......

Morning/evening AV and Jcat. Just been chatting with Airy, she can't sleep.

I think the heat could be a factor Jcat. as far as I know there are no fires near them and I don't think they are getting the smoke either. I had a good day just doing little bits of things and had the future SIL drop in for coffee. He was going over to surprise Meegz tonight for her birthday. I guess they went out for dinner as Airy couldn't get an answer when she rang Meegz. I popped out and bought Meegz a Boronia shrub that caught her eye at the garden centre on Saturday and a bamboo and willow garden teepee.

Evening jcat and MS..
7:30am here and I am butt tired...oh my god..for some reason, little miss Abigail decided that between midnight and 3:30am, she would keep waking up and not sleep. I changed her, I fed her..I did everything. I would think she finally would be asleep and climb into bed and in 10 minutes she would be crying again. Finally by 4 am she was totally asleep...well yea..so Mommy didn't get good sleep last night.
How are you both tonight?Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Oh, no, CM, golly, can't you go back to bed? If you don't get up, the rest of the household might forget to too...
Things are good here, except I'm dying to get out in the garden, plant my new trees and finish my path, but it's blowing a gale all the time. Typical spring weather! Most of my daffodils haven't dared come out yet but those that did have been battered to the ground :(
Could Miss Abbie be teething? That makes them miserable, doesn't it?
-
Jcat! You're very sharp considering the time. Sweetpea teepee tee hee! !. Very good indeed.
Mum said that the Boronia is short lived too.
Oh poor wee Abbie, being awake all that time!
Poor Mummy, she can't nap during the day like Abbie can. Tonight I'm fine but getting tired now CM.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

She could be jcat..she doesn't have any teeth yet and she just turned 8 months yesterday, so I know they are on their way. I would LOVE to go back to bed. Wayne is showering and the girls are still asleep. I wish Maddie and Abbie would sleep in but they are usually up by 8. I got up at 6:45 since I had to feed the kitties and try to wake up before the girls. I have a nice hot cup of tea but I should get a shot of whisky in it lol

Both of you sleep for me :)
Trust me, if the planets align and both go down for a nap at the same time today, so is Mommy! :DPosted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

God morning, all!
AV - the best thing in getting a new job, to me, was going shopping for clothes :)I really, really don't want to go to work this morning! I was trying to come up with excuses last night to not go.
Instead I'm going to go, but I'm going to skip out with XBF to go change my address at the post office and hopefully go get my radio done. That'll take about an hour and a half, so I'll get out of the office for a while - yay!Good news - I did get to chat with GG last night. Everyone else left, and he stayed and chatted until 9:30 - just chatting, no more hickeys. Ever since I told him how bad Weird New Boss Guy smells, he always mentions that he must smelltoo after working out, and keeps his distance.
I had just fallen alseep when he texted me at 11:30. There was tennis on, and we text a lot while watching. Anyway, we texted til 12:15 and I had to get up at 6:30. Bob was such a pain last night, I had to drug him with some Bach's and he still had me up twice. :(I have to get out he door, just wanted to check in. Have a great day, everyone!!!
Happy birthday to Heather and Lisa today!

Hi CM, MS and JCat!...... mmmmmmm tea sounds wonderful, I think I'll try to switch to that when I get to the office...... I have to have my couple of cups of joe to start up at home, but if I drink too much coffee all day, I get the shakes!..... a nice tea might be just the trick!....I don't know what a boronia shrub is... is it in the bamboo family? .... we had bamboo in our yard when I was a girl, and it literally took over!...... I remember my Dad cursing the tall plants quite frequently!

Know the feeling Jcat, I have 7 punnets of seedling to plant out and am germinating a tray of about 30 delphiniums which poked their wee heads through the soil today. hope I have enough garden to plant them all in.
CM, your Abbie isn't sleeping well and my Airy isn't either. Kids!Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Hi and bye GD!! Hi AV! We miss you since you started work but hope you are enjoying it so far.
lol MS..I say that alot now...Kids!
jcat, some people want so much and all I want is about 4 more hours of sleep. I am an easy person...*goes to kitchen to look for any alcohol* I don't think rubbing alcohol will help....lolPosted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Hi, GD, awww, GG is being on his best behaviour around you, that's so sweet :) But it doesn't sound to me like you're getting enough sleep, your boys (GG and Bobby) shouldn't be keeping you up! Naughty boys!
AV, I don't know what boronia is related to, it has tiny white flowers, if I remember right (like I said, mine died!) but it smells gorgeous!
Oooh, delphiniums, I LOVE delphiniums but haven't managed to grow any yet...

That's the best I can find about Boronia, a small sweetly scented shrub with chocolatey brown tiny bell like flowers.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #
