My little kitty Marmite is 9 weeks old and is playing, eating, sleeping lots. After she has had one of her longer naps she wakes up and crys instantly, when we start stroking her she continues to make little crying noises while purring at the same time. Is this normal? it sounds so pitiful but yet she seems happy enough. thanks everyone

Hi Small. Most of TDK land is in the States, and they're still snoozing, but check back later for any more answers...I'd say Marmite is probably still missing her littermates, then when you stroke her, she's just chattering back to you. Some cats are more vocal than others...our Pickle never shuts up, whereas we only get the odd chirrup out of Eric! And Button squeaks...You might try getting Marmite a cuddly toy to snuggle up with, a beanie baby is ideal. Works wonders!

Marmite was a brave wee kitty. I'm fond of marmite too, but on toast. Gee, I hope people understand that comment.

I like to shock.
To those not in the know Marmite is like Vegemite, still not sure? Google them.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

i love all your comments! my dad text me on the day we got her to say we should be watching to make sure we put the right Marmite on toast from now on! ha ha
We thought marmite was quite apt as she is black and people will either love her or hate her...cos of her colour. What is that with black cats and luck or no luck?! what rubbish ha ha. So far, everyone who has met her has loved her. I have a ton more pictures but how can i show them to you all? -
Sounds like Dad has a great sense of humour Small. I choose not to believe in the old black cat being bad luck but then I like the number 13 as my lucky number.
