I received an email from my Dad this morning informing me that my Great Aunt (my dad's aunt) health is failing fast. He informed me that when he visited her yesterday, the home health nurse (who visits her twice a week) pulled my Dad aside to say in her professional opinion that my Great Aunt's health is rapidly declining and that my Great Aunt has not more than a month to live. Right now she is in a lot of pain from her back and legs. He says that in the past six weeks he has seen a decline from her usual cordial self to being distracted, strained and for the first time didn't ask her usual questions about family when he visited her yesterday. She seems to have lost interest in eating, has a hard time swallowing her pills and continues to lose weight (she is at 92lbs and is around 5'4"). She is the youngest of nine children and the last alive. She will be 90 in November. My Dad thinks it is serious enough that he is actually thinking of making funeral arrangements.
Please pray for my Aunt that if it is her time, that she have a gentle and peaceful passing.
