i started a NS 16 minutes ago, but let's consolidate them. here is my post :for Tonight's NS Cafe, we will have a birthday party !!! Cake, ice cream, cut up fruits with the chocolate fountain, champagne, noisemakers, balloons, streamers, pin the tail on the goggie, fun-loving kitties of all makes, sizes, shapes, fur length, color. all is here for your amusement and pleasure...we will dance the hokey pokey and the alley cat strut...

Oooh this sounds fun! Since I'm sick as a dog and feeling crappy I'm going to indulge in some awesome virtual food. Since I can't eat it due to allergies I want shrimp: Steamed with lots of old bay and already peeled, please. Shrimp salad, too. And since I can't drink due to medicine I want my glass to be filled nonstop with something different each time. Frozen Margarita's (no salt, please), kalhua straight up, fun drinks, just nothing too sticky. And lots and lots of any kittehs that want to amuse me and then cuddle with me in a bit. And I'll be careful when it's my turn to pin the tail on the goggie, I promise! Thanks Cheri - i love parties!

my big chore today was to close 12 storm windows and put up the glass. it was a chilly 48 degrees last night, and although i had warm blankets, i wish i had a fur coat like my furry girls. tonight it will be much warmer in the apartment...

Hi all - we're almost done with Tuesday!!!! I'm really looking forward to a long weekend!
Work today wasn't as bad today as yesterday - at least I set two appointments. The one boss is out of town and the other one who we don't usually interact that much with is in charge. It's kind of changed the atmosphere a bit and yesterday was a loonoong day with noone setting any appointments at all. The other boss will be back tomorrow so that'll be nice.
I was out of the office for over an hour and a half to go with XBF and get a P.O. box. XBF is planning on moving soon so I figured it was time to go get a P.O. Box and move my address from his house. The post office is only open while I'm at work, so I had to run out today with XBF. I'm planning on moving at some point, so I only got it for 6 months - hopefully I won't even need it for that long.
With running out to take care of this, the work day was less long, eventhough I stayed an extra half hour. The gym is quiet tonight and I'm looking forward to going home and hanging out watching tennis on TV for a bit.How was everyone's day?

You have been busy GD!! I am working on my homework--I have a ton. Went to a meeting after school for my dossier. I was told normally they are only 30 pages with the supporting evidence of student work scanned in. Only 30 pages--sounds like a research paper to me! I have a novel to wade through that will help me. I am just thankful that we are getting so much support from the administration. They could say just get it done, but we have an administrator that is holding a class every month to help us get it done! She is a true blessing!

Hola peeps and littermates :) Tired as a wet kitteh here, haven't been to bed yet after getting off this morning @ 8 a.m., spent the morning doing yardwork at the new house (8 large trash bags the 33 gal kind), all the appliances are installed except for the dishwasher and dryer, oh yeah and the water filter line for the fridge. Tomorrow the water line and dishwasher will be done. Even paid a couple of guys to bring over the porch swing and set it up on the back porch. Stopped on the way home and bought a new bed and hope that helps me sleep at the new place too. So now my brain is fried and I can't sleep, go figure. All the big furniture gets taken over on Thursday, so its coming along....

Bumblebee, it hsa been forever hasn't it!! I see your entries late night shift time and smile reading them. Plus my time on the night shift has been lessened because I am training a new guy @ w(*k and sometimes don't have access to a computer, when I get home I am beat yet trying to pack things to move into another house.

Hello all, and BB, sounds like a rough day for some of us. Am off work tomorrow, will be converting my oil furnace to propane at a good price. Oil heaters go about $5000, will have this one installed for $1800 and since they service me for hot water and cooking, one stop shopping!! Works for me.

Yes it is, AV. When the park gave permission to us all to convert to propane or electric, I jumped on it. With a coupon from the propane dealers, too. I was the first to let the office know of my decision and many have followed.
The oil here is in underground tanks that are 30+ years old. They mix it with kerosene so not to freeze. If it gets cold enough it does anyway. Smells bad, ruins the carpet. And with our newest grandaughter here, we couldn't take the risk. So, good deal, change over, so not to be under the parks rule for this, and hopefully good to go. Wish us luck. BTW, propane won't freeze!

BB, no sadly just renting but it is a bigger place by 400 sq ft and about the same rent, with a smaller backyard that will be easier for me to keep up. The house is more open concept than the one I am currently in so the cats will enjoy it more, and if my mother comes out it will be easier for her to get around in.
Lynn, congrats on going with the newer heating system.

Lynn,is everyone in the park required to switch from oil now?
I wish too that I could meet MCW. Too bad her time here is so short. I'm sure going to NY and back to Pa. on this holiday weekend would be miserable! Just WAY TOO much traffic and being stopped in traffic! UGH! -
No, BB, it's your choice. If you should want to put the money out to do so, the park gave permission to do so. But if enough people do so, they have a problem. What to do with all the leftover oil!!
Wish I could go up and meet MCW too, but no can do. Hugs to you and yours.
