  1. What is your kitty's absolutely favorite toy ??

My boys have this smartykat bouncy mouse, its gray with pink dangling puff balls for arms and legs! They are crazy for this silly mouse! At one point it was on a string that that lasted like 15 mins!!

I am going to get them some new toys and was looking for some suggestions ??

  2. Oh boy! I am always looking for more toys. What I have discovered is that no matter what toy I buy them...they only like it if I play with them. Lately I just play with this ribbon and I whirl it around their heads and they love it. I also crocheted them a little ball and put a bell in it. THey love it so much...I think they knew I handmade it just for them ; )

  4. anything they can pick up in their mouths try drop on me! i have to watch out when walking below the ladder to the straw and haymows because i will get hit on the head or almost get hit by toys when the cats are being troublemakers! so they don't get much toys that are hard, only soft cause they don't hurt as much lol :D

  5. Spice likes any toy she can bat around. this afternoon she was playing with my shoelaces as I was trying to tie them.

Velvet like catnip toys she can suck on. they end up a drooly mess, but it's her toy, not mine...

  6. A green felt mouse. It is called 'Scrag' and she loves to knock Scrag off the banister where we sit him and then wrestle him all the way down the stairs. We know where Shadz is by the thumping as she and Scrag thump their way down the stairs. She knows what we mean when we say "Scrag the mouse", it's time for a game on the stairs. We toss Scrag up and she wrestles and whacks him down to us and then we toss him back up again. We are onto our third Scrag I believe.

  7. ... "sadly".... white kitty is a "one of a kind"..... she has been on every trip, vet appt., move, ect. that Abby has EVER been on, and is her one and only "comfort" toy!..... (amazing to me is that there is NO catnip in her!)..... I truly don't know what I'd do if "white kitty" (now grey) would ever get lost, or fall apart (it is on it's last legs)..... but Abby loves her with all her little kitty heart!....

  8. That is so sweet AV. We have a white kitty here, it's Airy's and is called Persil(washing powder) but it too is now a grey kitty. Shadz doesn't even bother to look at it but will cuddle up beside it on Airy's bed.

  10. Laser pointer. Well, actually, I shine the little red dot, and she goes ape over chasing it!

  11. But, she will deny that she even saw it there if you said Awwwwww to her about cuddling up against it.

  12. My 1 year old is obsessed with the laser pointer toy. He's like a junkie that needs his fix! We keep it in a basket on the coffee table. He jumps up on the table, looks at the laser, look at us, then looks at the laser, and looks at us, until we pick it up.
He used to want to eat first thing in the morning. Not anymore. Now he only wants the red dot!

  13. Libby used to love a little grey mouse filled with catnip, called Mousie. I don't even think it was hers originally, I have a feeling it was an aged cat toy. But anyway, she would stroll around the house with Mousie in her mouth and I would find it in a different place every day and then during the summer, I'd frequently find Mousie outside as well...

But she seems to prefer live mice now, alas...

  14. My girls LOVE their bungee mouse! It hangs over the closet door in the hall and it is on an elastic (bungee) string. They jump and bat and play with that thing like crazy! I have had to rebuild it countless times! Thank goodness Petsmart still sells them or I would be up a creek without a paddle.

  15. Oliver, the tuxie, has a ratty old Christmas ornament/knit sock that was filled with cat-nip and it is his toy of choice. In the morning I find it among our shoes in our bedroom. It is apt to be found anyplace around our house. Sammy doesn't have any favorites but he does like to drink out of his water dish in the bathroom on the counter, next to the sink. Now Oliver does it too!

  16. JCAT that is what Oliver does with this old catnip Christmas sock! He is so proud of it, like he killed it!

  17. i have a bunch of feathers and a bell on a string and wand that Kaieteur can chase. All he has to do is hear the bell and he's off like lightning... he will even jump up on to the cupboard shelves if the door is open to try to get to the toy when it's put away!

  18. The laser is their favorite of the inter-active toys, next is the "Da Bird", found at Dr. Foster & Smith catalog. As far as something they can play with alone, mine love the little plastic sqiggle thingies I buy at PetSmart. If you don't have carpet, get ping-pong balls.

  20. Larry.
A little stuffed lion that Shaddo gently loved and Leela embraced. They were inseperable for a long time; she would carry Larry around and play with him. These days, she likes those soft plush balls that come in a bag of catnip.
Larry, however, is the official guardian of our house. She brings him downstairs when no one is home. I put him in the same place every night before bed; on her little condo between the window and the bed. In the morning, Larry is often on the floor on the other side of the bed, or at the top of the stairs. Sometimes I discover Larry at the bathroom door after I've showered. She brings him to the couch when I'm napping.
Larry, Miss Leela's version of her security blanket!
