Hi cuddles, since you're in Pennsylvania, may I suggest the Kitty Cottage? I believe it's in Blue Bell, if that's close to you. I dunno if the cats are free though.

lol...i have a orange and white pretty fat bout 4yrs old or so cat his name is chains and he gets along with everyone and everything. then i have oreo who is gray and white and the oldest, but when he was a kitten he would lick the cream out of the oreo (hence his name). when he was a kitten he would sleep in your hair and he still does and he is not a kitten anymore lol. then there is my kitten cuddles, he is a long hair gray and black kinda looking cat i got him bout 3yrs ago and he was a kitten... he goes crazy when im not home(my mom says) he knows he is my cat, he sleeps with me and everything he is great...then there is spike the newest addition, he prob. bout 1 yr or so old all black and his paws and a little bit of his neck is white. him and cuddles get jealous cause i pet them both and if im petting one and not the other the other one gets mad...its kind of cute to watch. they are all outside/inside cats and all have their claws. cuddles and spike we got on the same farm. chains was from before i moved and he had a brother balls but he passed away or found a new home. oreo we got when my mom was driving home and saw a garbage bag with kittens in it and she took one. i wish she could have taken all of them...we all love cats at my house and lookin for a good kitten. like my mom always said,"the kitten that is good for you will come to you". but i still want a kitten they are so cute...

I don't know why this keeps happening to me. I wish to God you lived closer Cuddles... I've got 5 kittens(2-8mo.olds,3-7mo.olds)indoor only. They very healthy. Been trying sinced they were born to find homes for them...to no avail. I would give anything to be able to give them a home. Especially since since there is a new litter of 4 in our backyard. Come the first of the year,if I haven't found homes for them...they go to the humane society, which they will probably spend the rest of their lives in cages. Even tho this place is a no-kill shelter...they're realistic & they can't keep them all. Eventually some give up their lives to make room for others. I wish very much that I could fill your need.
BTW...the 2 older ones(brothers)are black. The other 3 are Misty-a solid long-haired gray,Rusty-a beautiful orangie,& their brother Spunky-he's also black. -
Wow, Cuddles you have a lot of kitties. Sounds like my kind of place. I have two kitties and can only have two since most places have a limit of either one or two cats. If I owned a house, I might consider getting one or two more kitties. Well, the only way I could ever own a house is to move to a state where there are decent two bedroom two bath homes in decent areas.
I say, how about we all build a crazy cat people commune somewhere in Colorado or somewhere where Instinct is going to start his company.

Cuddles, I live in Northern California (San Francisco Bay Area). We just had in the news how the housing industry is in a slump but it hasn't effected the housing prices here. Example - if a three bedroom two bath house was purchased before the mortgage crunch it would cost around $650,000 to $850,000. After the mortgage crunch, that same house might be more like $585,000 to 725,000. Condos are around $425,000 to $550,000 for a two bedroom two bath with maybe 1000 to 1200 square feet. By myself, I could only afford a place at $175,000. That means I could afford someone's shed or one car garage, maybe.

It also depends on the job market and what kind of salary they pay. Also, would have to think about if I want to brave the east coast weather. I have heard of nice properties in South Carolina but again hot humid weather isn't my cup of tea.

Wow Karin, you could get a decent house here in TX for that, but you would have to put up with HOT weather. There are co-housing properties available. As a matter of fact, they are starting one here in the Dallas area. Have you heard about them. You can google them, and get a lot of info.
They are small communities of houses or condos owned by the home owners, who decide what type of community they want to be, with a community house belonging by all. Check it out.Posted 1 year ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #
