   Hi, everyone, opening up the morning cafe from the other side of the world for your delectation and delight this morning. I am getting one of our favourite Wellington cafes, Nikau, to cater this morning, it has been closed for a long time but it is about to reopen and their world-famous-in-Wellington kedgeree is back on the menu! (Their customers have never allowed them to take it off.) It is to die for, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so I urge you to tuck in.

   Plus we have all the usual pastries, omelettes, bacon, hash browns, pancakes, waffles, yummy breads and jams and marmalade and cheeses, beautiful coffee, a wide selection of teas and every fresh fruit juice you could want. The kitties are enjoying the kedgeree too (mmm, smoked fish!) There is also champagne for those who, like me, will drink it any time they can get it! And the wonderful Nikau chefs will make you anything you like. (The kittie grill chef is taking a break this morning.) Come on in and find a place in the sun...

   By the way, I am taking a fabric workshop in a couple of weeks, run by this lovely lady who lives down the road from me: http://www.agnescoy.co.nz/ Check out her blog (labelled Journal) for the kind of thing we'll be doing (and pix of the Wairarapa and Trumpet the cat, who came from our shelter). It is a photographic printing on fabric workshop so I am hoping even I will be able to cope because *blush* I CAN'T SEW! But praps even I might be able to make nice cushions if I can print my own fabric from beautiful images... You don't have to sew much for a cushion, right? I bet you could even use fabric glue...

   Oops, I forgot it was a lazy holiday weekend for you lot. You are probably all still in bed! Well, if I disappear before anyone's up, just let the wait-kitties have your order and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

   I'll be sticking round for another half hour or so, reading back posts and trawling through Trade me, tee hee.

   How are you today? Thank you for opening up the cafe. I am a bit tired today. We went to a cookout last night and stayed till after 11pm...got home near 11:45pm, put the girls to bed. I went to sleep at 1, up at 3:45 with Abbie...back to sleep a bit after 4 then Fred got me up at 6:30am...I thought about laying back down but Abbie is now up. Agh...
   Good for you taking that class!! I can't sew either maybe you can teach me when you are done :)
   MCW is on her way here today. I am so excited....hopefully tonight we can do dinner and she can meet the family...

   Today is a lazy day..Wayne has to mow the grass and I need to finish laundry so that's what we get to do today. Maybe take Maddie to the park.

   Oh, no, the cookout sounds lovely but your night sounds terrible. I didn't realise it was today that MCW hit Cleveland. YAY!!! Give her a big hug from me and the Kiwi girls. How exciting! Are any other TDKers going to make the meet-up or will you have her all to yourself?

    I fed Abbie her bottle now I will feed her brekkie in a bit...She's playing on the floor with her toys currently and just smiling..
    I now have my first cup of coffee and it's an extra large one!

    They seem to have gone mad with the advent of spring. Last night Jasper was attacking the telephone cord like I've never see him do before and this afternoon, Libby was killing my dirty socks (ewwwwww) which I'd dropped on the bedroom floor (bad me). She bunny kicked them into total submission, lol. How are Fred and Cricket?

    Go Libby and Jasper...protect mommy!
    Cricket and Fred are good. Fred is thinking he is a kitten again or something..He woke me up by trying to walk on the window ledge and our headboard over our bed this morning and wasn't doing a good job..almost fell on our faces..Cricket can do it but she's smaller and younger...Freddie...well fatter and older. :)

    Poor MC, we wore her out! We did get her to stay an exra night. We better do some easy stuff today. MCW and Andy were planning to leave here about 10:00 so if it takes about 7 hours look for them this evening.

    Morning everyone! .... been reading the MCW tour threads, sounds like a wonderful adventure!..... I WISH it had a Florida jaunt, but I know she can't go EVERYWHERE!..... we'll just have to live it virturally with everyone! thanks for all the great pics, keep 'em coming!.....

    ..... had acutally a nice day yesturday scalloping with friends. Beautiful, stretch of "natural" Florida coast line ( rare these days )...... we dove and gathered all day, probably harvested around 150 or so... then the cleaning.... these are Bay scallops, so you know how tiny they are - those 150 yield just enough meat to make a nice garlice/lemon/scallop pasta dish for five of us!..... Exhausting work, but nice to relax and unwind!....

    ...... Daughter is home today, unfortunately I have to work a half day, so going to head out now!... Back later this evening..... hope everyone has a great day!

    Just spoke with FF on the phone, he was laughing his head off! Can't believe I was able to do so much without totally passing out! I said tonight when I get home to my home I will probably go into a coma! He thinks its great that I have got to spend such nice time with MCW, Andy, NNGM and the KYKAT's! Now if I hadn't awoken to a nice monthly gift from Mother Nature today. Sure hope that the CVS down the street is opne! LOL

    And I am coming! ABSOLUTELY, just not today! LOL I don't know how MCW is doing it. Though she is not recently recovering from brain surgery and is running on adreneline. Mine is down to a small trickle. Me, NNGM, and the KYKATS are going to visit for a bit today. Then I have to see my GIRLS!
