Hi all, I am utterly exhausted from all the excitement and fun from Jen's swing thru the windy city this weekend. Going back to work was a real drag today. Tomorrow will be even worse, I have to start, work thru and complete my budget for 2010 tomorrow! YIPPEE! I will have a large margarita, peach please! We are having an open bar tonite and anything you want from the bbq. I think I will have a big yummy hot dog (thanks HM) and grilled corn. What do you desire?

I can't believe Jen has been here and gone :( I miss her already. I wish we had more than really a few hours with her but I will take anything I can get. It was awesome to meet everyone as well!

Me too! Can I come, too, please please please! And a frozen margarita, lime, no salt... HUGE! thanks for the idea MC!) And some playful kits for about 15 minutes and then some snugglers!
Evening CM and MC! and anyone else who may have snuck in while I was typing and fantasizing about food!

Hi all, just popping in quickly. Have to take HRH Shadz to the vet as she is sneezing and snotting(sorry about the visuals) and feels a bit off. Poor wee thing is lying in the warm sun and keeping close to me.

I have the fun of wrestling her into her cage tail first while avoiding flying claws. It's always a tense moment for the both of us.
I have just been to our local shopping centre and all the cherry trees are in full blossom and the street looks beautiful lined with gorgeous blossomy trees, it's a fantastic Spring day, sunny and warm with a slightly cool breeze.Posted 2 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Hi all- you want a good feline snot story? Dara sneezed a load out the other night and before I could get a tissue to wipe her nose - it was still hanging there - she had licked it up!

GAG ! Heave! Shadz would have done the same but couldn't get her tongue to what was hanging off the outer edges of her whiskers!

Hey all! I started a seperate thread to adequately express how wonderful it was to get to spend a whole weekend with MC and NNGM and a big chunk of time with MCW. Andy was fabulous too! I am still really tired, but would love to go back and do it all again!
Oh and havea great big chicago dog with extra ketchup! MR. KYKAT says he was surprised that he had as good a time as he did and it was great to turn imaginary friends into real friends and to help Andy pop into existance. He was glad to have Andy to talk to.
Ewwww cat snot! When Emma gets sneezy she loves to get right into your face and sneeze!

.... ICK!... Cat snot!..... Cuddles has that frequently!..... just my "old girl" exhaling her self sometimes!... LOl..... I'm sooooo glad to finally be back up on line! I've sooo missed everyone, I love reading the back posts on MCW tour and all the meet ups!.... so jealous!!!!... Now that I've started a new job, and w**k such long hours, I can barely log on in "sparrow fart" hours, or late at night!....
.... please refresh my sad memory - who is Andy that was at the meet ups? is he someone's hubbs or a new poster?

Ewwwwwwwwww! You really have to love your kits to forgive them that and I think we all qualify as loving parents here.
It's great to be able to put faces to names even from this distance KYK. We get to live the meet ups vicariously through you all. Love looking at all the photosPosted 2 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Exactly MS!... Fla. didn't make the tour, but we have LOVED the pics and posts that made us feel a "virtural" part of them!.....
BTW, I saw some kind of NZ cheddar cheese in a store today, it was a gourmet "organic" store (Wild Oats).... and I wondered if NZ cheddar was something special, or if that was marketing?...... I figured go to those that live there - what's your take?

Andy is MCW's friend that she stayed with in Chi. He is also a Brit and a great guy. Hubby appreciated having another bloke to talk with when we girls got too crazy cat lady!

Ok, thanks KK!...... I've been trying to keep up, but my brain is "frazzled" right now, between moving, the new job, and not having internet (TKD) for almost a week now!..... (it's been consistently inconsistent!).....
so glad the "tour" is going so well!.... is it Texas next, I think?... how fun and exciting!.... (get your fans out people!, it's HOT)!!!! LOL

AV - I wonder what the brand of cheese was. Like many other countries we have lots of specialist cheesemakers. It will be good cheese - but probably no better than gourmet specialist cheese from other places. But it WILL be nicer than ordinary American cheese - sorry!

Ohhhhh AV, NZ cheddar is really special, especially if it's organic.
Now that I've done the promotion bit all I can say is maybe try it and see what you think. I believe there is quite a difference in cheeses between our countries.Posted 2 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

BTW AV, KK & I didn't collaborate on our replies.

"nom, nom, nom"!....... I'm going to "give it a go" next time I go in there, I wasn't really looking for a cheddar tonite, I bought a nice fontina, some parmagianna reginniano and some marscapone...... but I'm always looking for a nice cheddar for my "southern" mac n cheese!.... I LOVE cheese, and am always looking for new and different flavors/textures/melting kinds!...

Once you have sampled it AV you can comment about it on "I Love Cheese" thread.

I love cheddar just to nosh by itself, or with a crisp apple. I just have regular cheddar in the fridge and may have to go get some now!
