Hey guys,
just curious, how many of the people here who are guys own kittens? Cuz Someone I was talking to earlier said that guys shouldnt get kittens..and well, Just thinking about it..(BTW IM A GUY AND I DO OWN A KITTEN)

We have several male members and it is perfectly ok for a guy to be owned by a feline! Cats make marvelous fur friends and it sounds like from your other thread that your kitten is already starting to bond with you.

Guitarhero07, I am owned by 5 adult cats and 2 kittens. It is very ok for a guy to have kittens. :)

My man does. He is a 40 year old fireman and proud to be a cat owner! My ex was also the owner of a cat. Both have had theirs since they were weaned from their mommy's! I think its great for men to have cats.

Kittens and cats for that matter are universal - their humans need to be able to love them and provide for them, it doesn't matter if they are male or female !!

Hubby has a cat Rumpleteaser--they have been together since she was 6 weeks old. She even insists on sleeping on his pillow--sometime to his chagrin! The person who saved Deuter and gave him to me was a student of mine--a male student. He and his Mom brought be 2 kittens of a dead mother and Nike is in a furever home with a teacher friend of mine and Deuter--well look at his picture--he rules his kingdom!

Was the someone you were talking to earlier a guy? Cause I can't think of a girl or woman who wouldn't love a guy who loves his kitten. You've got every female on this site on your side! Of course, you may not want to be a babe magnet ;-) (And any bloke worth his salt would respect the animal-human bond too!)

My man is a proud and unapologetic cat lover (he has 2 asleep next to him right now! AWWWW!!!)! I don't think I could be with a man that wasn't... Love me, love my furbabies! My brother also has a cat, GoGo from the same litter as one of ours. Whoever says men shouldn't have cats must not understand the human/cat relationship!

Men with cats are men with patience. If you can put up with the many varied ever-changing moods of a cat, you can put up with just about anything. Or anyone. I think that's how M is able to deal with his job so well. If you can put up with a moody cat you can put up with moody people! Especially if you have a particularly "vocal" cat like we do! lol!
