Hey Sm! How was work today?
I was home today tomorrow back to the kinders and Mysties last kitten shot!
Today picked up mom and went to Gilroy and got their car transfered/gifted over to me so the car is now mine! Nice to have a car agian hehhee!

You know that right now you are sitting in a good spot. The new mandates on teachers is getting outragous! I work 9-12 hour days. Then I have to go to classes to get my Masters or lose my job. I get home exhausted and loaded down with homework. But wait! They decide to add more work and now I have to come home and complete new forms and rewrite everything because nothing is okay and while I am at it crunch all the data for all testing school wide for the past year because my goal group is to come up with a solution to make sure that the subgroups all pass the state test. I am now at the school 9-12 hours and working at home until Midnight and them up at 5:30am! Hubby said you should be grading--which I did last night until 1am. You know I need some down time for me too--or I will go insane!

Wow sounds like college for me. hahah work, student teach and then add papers, essays, projects and regular nightly reading and note taking. Was living on 4 hours of sleep and pushing my self to the limits. I want my own class but things seem to be making it hard for me to earn one. Plus I am not suree what I can do when Jan 31 2012 comes around if I haven't been hired if I can renew it or if I have to go back to school. If I do I might jsut continue to sub permemantly or look into a full time preschool or day care for work.
And I'd help ya grade!

Do you have a tiered licensure program there? We have to move to level 2 by the end of our 5th year or our license isn't renewed! I have until June 2011 to have my dossier accepted. Most are saying it is about a 30-60 page project. I went to get the initial training to submit and was handed a pile of papers--all 300+ and told that everything I needed to know was in there and to start reading! When do I fit that in? I am trying to get it done by February 2010.

Ouch! I have a feeling if I am not done by 2012 I will not be able to renew which means I will not go back to school. Don't have the money or patience to do it all again. So would have to look inot the next think available!
And wow 300 pages you telling me they couldn't condense it and help ya out by explaining the key points!

Ain't that the truth SM! The six month sI had and all the weekly meetings and staff meeetings and the papers to fill out and file and the grouping and the homework and the grading and the classwork and all the prepping! it is very consuming and I only had 20 kids 40 if you include my team teachers kids. I realize they want quality teachers and the best for the kids but we are not making head way with the language barriers. So in turn the teachers are found lacking! I love subbing because it allows me to be with the kids teach them and yes i grade the days papers as well as right the room so it's orgainzed and clean for their returning teacher and leave detailed notes about the day. The only thing I miss about having my own class is my class and seeing the grow through the year!
Well all I am heading out I have work tomorrow so 6am here I come.
Good luck SM and I hope once you get to sleep you sleep like the dead cause it sure sounds like you need it!

Peeking into the NS office, kitties sleepy. Just reading backposts although it looks like that is almost in the singular. It's been a very quiet few days here on TDK.
HRH Shadz seems to be improving already after her visit to the vet. Her eyes and nose no longer run and I think the swelling in her throat is going down as her snoring has stopped. We have no idea what caused it but this isn't the first time she's been like this. At least the vet knows how to treat it.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Glad to hear that HRH is improving, poor baby but glad that the vet has things in hand in the treatment of it.
How was your day MS? Mine was hectic, still moving things over from one house to the other by the carload and then heard that they started my Mom on morphine this afternoon for the pain (so it must be getting bad for that to happen, sigh). At least my brothers are taking it better now, the hospice nurse (her name is Cinderella with nick of Cindy) came in gave them lessons on administering it (today was injections via the tube and tomorrow will be morphine patches).

Oh that's sad about your Mother Deb, but at least she won't be in pain. I'm so glad that you were able to get hospice help for her and your family, it takes a great deal off the mind.

(((Deb))) so sorry about your Mom! My Dad got the morphine injections, I know how hard that is for the familiy, but it did help make him more comfortable..... my prayers are with you!

Evening/morning Deb, MS, MC and AV. Deb, I'm sorry your mum is in that much pain but very glad she's getting the hospice care and good pain relief.
MS, must be nice to have the kids with you :) I'm glad Shadz is feeling a bit better. She will soon be being the scourge of the mousie population again.

Evening Jcat,Shadz was feeling up to stalking me around the corner of the house this evening. Meegz could see her wee bottom wriggling away as she got ready to pounce as I walked around the corner but I tricked her by dropping a clothes peg in front of her. She leapt on that and killed it. If she can be that cheeky she must be starting to feel better, thank goodness.
Now that Andrew has moved over to Meegz city they have no where to stay when they are back here other than our place or other friends. It's just as well I have Airy's bed here.
I'm starting to lag a bit now so I think I'll head off to bed for the night.
HRH Shadz is curled up asleep in her bean bag.

Deb, I am fine, thank you, but haven't got much done this week so far. Waiting around on more paperwork that hasn't turned up yet... laid some more of my path yesterday -- looked at it today and it's wandering all over the place like a drunk spider so I think that bit will be coming up again... thought I'd better make a start on my tax, eeeeeekkk! I hate figures, I can't add and they make my head hurt!
