  1. I am a new kitty mama...I scoop it out everyday..how often do you normally change the entire litter for an adult female cat? I hear once a week?

Also do I wash the litterbox with hot water? hot water and mild soap?

  3. My vet says just hot water. He says anything else could leave a scent that any one of our babies may not like. I scrub with an old broom.

We have six boxes for four cats (five when Cousin Spike comes to visit). We only switch the litter out completely about once a month. It probably makes a difference whether you are using scooping litter or not.
