WWM and Mr. WWM left San Antonio a couple of hours ago headed back to Midland... Wow, after a whirlwind 5 days of Texas TDK fun, "turn out the lights, the party's over" quoth the infamous Willie Nelson song. It was SUCH a wonderful time getting together and meeting everyone (pics have been posted), now it feels like the 'day after Christmas' letdown! So, it's time to catch up with all the other TDK goings on ;-) And, *tapping foot impatiently* news of the SoCal meet up this weekend....

Wow, how wonderful. I hadn't realized the WWM's were staying that long. It looked like a great time down south. I am anxious as well to here about So. Cal.

KM, We had such a wonderful time! Abbey and I both are so thrilled to have had the opportunity to put faces with names. I just knew that I would love these people. Such articulate, funny, caring, fun people. It was such a good time. MCW actually brought rain to us! I'm hoping to be able to travel to another "meet up" somewhere! Awesome time! I know that MCW is going to travel back to the UK with some amazing stories. I hope the next time she will be able to bring Chris. I want to thank everyone for such a memorable weekend. I will never forget it. Hugs to all my TDK family. I still have that warm fuzzy feeling.

Well, our littermates in SoCal must've had a feeling I needed a real pick-me-because they called me from their party a short while ago. I first talked to KW & was so surprised to hear from her. Then I had the pleasure of quickly chatting w/the absolutely adorable Jen. I just love English accents. I don't know where MCW has gotten all her energy to do so much traveling & still be so happy-go-lucky as she sounded. The rest of the crew in the background sounded like they were having a total blast. And all of them as a group said hi to me. We wished each other well & we hung up.
After that,I sat in the chair & cried for a good 15 minutes. I'd been crying sad tears off & on thru the day...but this time it was happy tears. I felt so blessed at that moment that anyone would care so much to call me from such a distant to say hi & show their love for me. Dang, now I'm crying again just from writing this.
I can't wait to see the pics. -
We are home :-(
We had the BEST weekend! The Austin TDK meet-up was just too much fun! I haven't even seen the pictures yet. Sunday we left Austin and made our way to San Antonio to stay overnight with Kittymom. What fun Mr. WWM and I had! Kittymom's dad is just too cute and I kind of wanted to kidnap him and bring him home. And her uncle is sooo funny! We had the best time just talking and laughing! Oh, and there were some martinis involved ;-)
We hardly saw Mac and Grommie, though. But we had a GREAT time!
I'm so tired!

I have to share a special moment from the Austin meetup.. As we were all greeting each other with sqeeeeeeees and hugs, a young man came out of the restaurant. We noticed him staggering a bit as he went by us but didn't think much of it. Shortly after passing us he collapsed in between two cars. Our trusty nurse, WWM, rushed to his aid followed by our resident phlebotomist, TKN. They stayed with him until the EMTs came to check him out and got him a sweet beverage because he looked hypoglycemic. Well done, ladies!!!!!

The Austin Meetup was wonderful! Kudos to Lisa for planning and organizing this incredible, complex and huge event; to Jen for coming over and letting us enjoy her splendid company; to WWM for her "nursing aid" during the emergency at Maudie's; to Puddytat and Abbey for that lovely "welcome to Texas"; to KW for taking and posting all those photos; to the visiting dignitaries Abby, Cuddles and Bob; and to everyone else for coming over and talking and laughing and sharing such magical and blessed fellowship.
This was truly a Texas-style meetup, and a hard act to follow for future Texas meetups.
Also, Misty and CJ are lovely ladies and ambassadors of Texas catdom, and CJ's beguiling little face, sweet "chirrup" and pretty ways are entrancing beyond all measure.
I have not had so much fun since the world was young! Thank you, all of you!

Well, I'm still wondering if maybe I should have just given him a martini?

I think his girlfirend needed one more than he did. SHe was pretty hysterical. I do hope he went to the hospital and got a cat scan and lab work done. I would have gladly done his lab work, but my lab is in Littlefield and too far

I *am* getting some energy back! Thank you for asking WWM! My heart has been steady at 70 for the last two days. I do come straight home from work, plug into Misty and CJ and re-charge for the next day, but they work magic. The little twerps have been attached to me like velcro since MCW and Emma left. They're both asleep by my side, and Misty's purring in her sleep this very second.
