  1. Hey everybody,
Yesterday morning, Raja started sneezing. He had little clear discharge and hes still playful, alert and happy. hes still eating and using the litter box and drinking. but the sneezing has continued on to this evening. Its not happening as much as it was yesterday but it is still there. Is there any advice on how to heal him quicker? Is he ok?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Awwwwwwwwww, Raja is an avatar now. So cute. GH, keep a close eye on Raja, you may need to take him to the vet if he starts to get a bit lethargic or disinterested in his food. Young kits can become ill quite quickly. I just noticed you got him from the shelter less than a week ago, he could have picked something up there quite easily. Err on the side of caution and take Raja to the vet. I've been through getting a kitty with sneezes and we nearly lost her to cat flu in the first weeks after we got her. She's a lovely cuddly nearly 8 year old now.

  4. Watch his hydration levels too. Make sure he's getting fluids, or eating wet food which contains plenty of moisture, and you can add a little more water to it too. The sneezing means he's losing some fluid.

  5. I dont know about the wet food because were feeding him the Science Diet the shelter recommended (MSPCA in Boston). But yeah every few minutes while playing i take him to the water bowl and he drinks out of it while i stroke his back. I do feel that his sneezing has decreased but il talk to my parents about the vet visit as a precaution.

    Thanks everyone!
I just hope this isnt something serious..I love him.

  6. UPDATE:

    Hey everybody,
the shelter where we got raja (MSPCA in Boston) had provided us with a handout on URIs . So, they did see this coming. Now, it appears that he has a fairly normal condition in cats and he WILL receive medical attention tommorow! Thank you all for responding tonight.
