I was coming out of the bathroom and turning the corner the same time Wilma was coming around the corner from the kitchen. We both jumped and I screamed: "Wilma" and she went running to the basement. Then about ten minutes later I was changing clothes in the bedroom for FF's visit (which has been cancelled) when I heard a low deep meow from under the bed. I said "Wilma?" and the meow responded. I ran and got my flashlight and looked under the bed and there she was. Next thing I know she starts heaving and has the biggest projectile vomiting I have EVER seen. So much came out of her, I think she must be completely empty. A HUGE chunk of fur came out and about a gallon of liquid. I pray that she will come out and that she is better with that nasty thing out of her digestive tract! Keep prayers coming!

What a relief that she's appeared. I hope the furball coming up is the end of her vomiting and she'll take some fluids now.

If she is in bed with me in the morning the first thing I am gonna do is put her in her travel carrier. She is going to work with me and then the vet!

I should close us all in the bedroom tonight or at least close the basement door.

Holey-moley Wilma! I hope that yucky ball of ick was what was bothering you. Still, you need to get checked out and get some food & water into you. Both you and mama, not to mention Betty and all your cyber buddies, won't feel better till you do. And after this is behind you, do tell, missy, where have you been hiding? Your mama doesn't need you and Betty pulling such stunts.
MC, I never knew a cat could projectile-vomit with such intensity until Shaddo did it. Must have gone 3 feet in every direction, ack!

Holy Hairball! Poor Wilma. She must have been working on that thing for awhile. Hopefully it is all out of her system now. What is it with some cats? I have to make sure I throw away the fur right after brushing or else Nibs tries to eat it. I missed some last night and caught her with it in her mouth - it looked like she had a long beard, ha ha. I hope Wilma feels much better now.

Oh, Wilma baby! What an awful thing to have such a gigantic hairball! I am praying that now that it is your mama's problem to clean up, that you are feeling so much better.

Poor baby I hope she feels better now, and can feel comfy eating and drinking.

Poor Wilma! Such an upset tummy and nasty gucky hairball, too. Too bad there isn't a cat version of Pepto Bismol; it's the go-to thing for humans in our household.
Here's prayers for healing from me and head bonks from Lady Coco and Sophie Dorothea, North of Hollywood, California.

MC...It's frightening how long & wide some of those furballs can get, isn't it? I'm glad her reflex's were finally able to get it out of her. My Binky has scared the holy terror out of me & himself sometimes when he has one of those. So, I know exactly how you & her both feel. She's probably going to eat alot better as well, being that she can swallow easier.
You may want to put a glob of the furball meds on her paw as a preventive from another of those big buggers. -
great news! I just "caught" wilma with her head in the water bowl. looks like she may have taken a few licks of the baby food too. hip hip hooray!

What a relief for you and Wilma!! I can't imagine how icky trying to heave up a hairball must be. Glad it is not a problem that humans are prone to. lol
Keep up the good work eating and drinking, Wilma. Betty needs her friend back and your momcat needs to be able to stop worrying about you!
