Wilma was admitted to the kitty hospital. They sure moved when I walked in the door with her. I don't get that type of treatment in a human ER. She did have a high temperature and they are admitting her for testing. She sure was fiesty and fought the vet tooth and nail. Will let you know when I know more.

awww Wilma. ((MC and Wilma))
I have to say, after your description of what she was going through, I would have been surprised if they didn't admit her. Poor precious baby. Keeping her in my thoughts and prayers.Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Just heard from the vet, little Miss Wilma has a blockage. Something is stuck. They can't tell what it is yet. They are starting her on IV fluids and antibiotics as well as some meds to calm her down. He said she is going nuts because she wants whatever is in her OUT. They are going to give her some kitty Pepto Bismol and see if she can bring it up. If not, they are going in to do surgery. Keep her in your prayers. Thanks

Oh, poor Wilma....from how she was acting, a blockage sounds reasonable....she must have gotten into something. At least she is getting help now and hopefully she will wharf up what is blocking her and be on the mend!! I am sending prayers for her and also for you and Betty :)

Good job getting Wilma to the hospital, MC! She is not feeling well at all. I hope she is able to get rid of the blockage on her own. Either way, sending white light that she is right as rain soon. {{{hugs}}}

So glad you brought her anyway MC, and that you didn't think the furball was the problem and that she'd be ok now. Maybe it's impacted fur. If she was able to accumulate such an enormous ball, then there might be a much harder one down there. Poor Wilma - she's in the right hands anyway.

Sending prayers and healing thoughts to poor Wilma. And hugs to you, too, Amy-I know how worried you must be. And scritches to Betty, who I'm sure is worried too.

Amy, I'm so glad you were able to get Wilma "caught" and to the vet. The idea of another fur blockage sounds very reasonable after what she already threw up.
Milo is sending loads of purrs and gentle headbonks for Wilma's quick recovery, and reasurances to Betty too, that her friend will some be home. He really enjoyed meeting them at the last party, and looks forward to seeing them again. (((MC))) (((Wilma))) (((Betty)))Posted 2 years ago by morrissmom #
