  7. Poor Wilma. Sounds like she has a bit of the Jerrie spark in her. Jerrie was a cat who loved everyone - except the vet. At home, he was so good natured that he was like a dog. At the vet, he was ... demon-cat. Only in the last year of his life, when he was old and frail, did he tolerate the vet. After one particularly bad episode, I'll bet they put in his file "keep this one sedated!" Apparently he was quietly biding his time in the cage until someone opened the door - so that he could brutally attack them. I was mortified. Still, it makes for a good story now (although I'm not sure I ever saw that assistant again). I hope Wilma settles down and the doctor can get her taken care of.

  8. Poor little darling. Sending, as Kilroy said, endless supplies of TDK healing energy to Wilma, that she gets rid of that horrible blockage, that she gets better quickly and that everything turns out well. {{{Amy, Wilma and Betty}}}

  10. Today is Wilma's op. Thinking of her over here in Dublin, and hoping everything goes just perfectly. I'm betting on impacted fur. Wilma is strong and young, so she'll come through this very well I'm sure.

  11. Thanks to all! Today is the day! I am hoping that when the doc comes in Wilma will have thrown up a big hairball and she is all better. Betty sure does too cause she is going nuts without her. She won't quit meowing! YIKES! she did it all night long. I told her I missed Wilma too.

  12. Ohhhhhhhh poor Betty, were you able to get much sleep between the meowing and worrying MC? Did Betty cuddle up with you?

  26. Just spoke with the vet (one of the associates)and she said she is one very stubborn cat! She refuses to eat or drink. They had to syringe her a little baby food so the meds wouldn't upset her tummy. (Keep fingers crossed) They did an xray today and it looks like maybe what was lodged may have passed (that's TDK strength for you!) and she may be on the mend. She thought if this was the case she could come home today. I said I don't want her to come home unless they are absolutely positive that whatever it was passed. The actual vet following her will call me with his recommendations soon.

  27. Woo Hoo!! That is great. I pray it turns out the blockage is gone and Wilma can come home today!!

    Posted 2 years ago by corzak #

  28. Oh I hope that blockage is gone and we will have Wilma home and back to normal!!
    *Fred is continuing to pace*

    Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  29. That sounds promising, but I'm going to hold back on the balloons and streamers until she's safe and sound home with you, MC.

    Everything crossed here for poor Wilma.

  30. If the obstruction had passed, wouldn't they have found the material in the cage with her?
