Ange, I hope your brother consults an attorney about his rights and whether or not he could be held legally responsible for Eric's medical expenses. Sounds like the hospital is being very aggressive about trying to get someone to pay for Eric's treatment. If only his blood relatives could be found to expedite the release of Eric's ashes to your brother. (Assuming they'd agree to that.) Did your brother ever ask the American Red Cross to help locate them?

My brother is going to consult with a lawyer or attorney that Eric knew and worked for to see if there is any wya he can get the ashes without the medical bills tacked on. Also their friend who works for a phone company AT&T have searched and searched and no such luck with relatives. They are being aggressive KW and I don't like it and my brother sure as heck don't either!
