  1. Feeling insane lately. Yesterday I was having dizzy spells all day. I had to sit down in the shower because I was so dizzy. I had to take breaks during yoga due to dizziness too.

Taco threw up this morning on my breakfast. I just made toast and he came over, sat next to me, and threw up RIGHT on it.

Grandma passed last night. Can't stop thinking about it or about death in general.

I don't want to go to school but I have to.

I don't want to do anything. but I guess life has to just go on and I'll push through the hard times. I just feel like sleeping today.

  2. We all have days like that Gini. Bless Taco's little heart (lol). Maybe he wanted your toast.

Getting out and doing your regular schedule will help overcome your current depression. It's something to cling to, something solid and established.

  3. Greetings all. So tired today... stayed up to late brushing up on about 6 or 7 hulas I need to perform this Saturday. Sad how quickly they can fade from your memory when not danced regularly ! LOL

Oooooooohhhh donuts ! I'll have a chocolate covered French cruller please, and a chai tea to go. OOPS ! Better go. need to be to work in 15 minutes. i'll be back in a few.

  4. {{{Gini}}} I'm so sorry you're feeling awful. Bad Taco! Please, Gini, take care of yourself. Trying to just "carry on" after the death of a loved one is a recipe for a meltdown (speaking from experience here).

  5. Hi LItter mates! Gini, I am so sorry for the loss of your grandmother. I have good news, the museum kittens were adopted yesterday to a lovely family. The family could not bear to split the two sisters up, so they took both of them. Heidi's name is now Isabelle and Scaredy's name is Heidi. I am so happy. I understand the heart strings that are tugged by little foster kits. It was hard to see them go. My assistant, Spencer, kept the little boy tuxie for a museum cat. His name is George Washington Maynard Pleasants. Such a big name for such a little boy. My new boyfriend, not so new now, and I have been dating almost 3 months. I haven't managed to run him off yet! LOL

  6. Yay Tina! Good job finding homes for the adorable museum kits.

  7. Hi Tinafish - that's wonderful news! Wishing Isabelle and Heidi many happy years together with their new staff.

  8. CM, glad to know you are feeling human again. Hard to be sick when you have household to take care of. Joan, sounds like you had a nice time with MCW. I expect she will sleep for a week when she gets home. Siobhan I hope you can get some relief for your back pain. Owie! Poor Taco throwing up but poor Gini on it landing right on your toast. Taco, you secretly wanted your Momma's toast right? Gini, it is hard when someone close to you passes and you couldn't be there. Take extra care of yourself especially if you are feeling dizzy. Are you eating okay? Good news Tina! Glad it all worked out and the kitties found furrever homes.

Well, again I am kept out of the loop of information at work. Instead of having me know when some of our field merchandisers are coming and to have me go down and get them, my boss does it herself. She could be using that time to handle more important things. This is one more way of proving to herself that she doesn't need me to help her with things. I don't recall ever having a manager act this way with me and it is just plain frustrating. Hopefully I can be removed from being the department assistant and be moved over onto the communications team who I have been helping on a large project lately. That would be nice if that were to happen but basically I am not going to hold my breath as I have a feeling the manager would say, oh we still need her to be the dept assistant even though I am not utilized much by the department.

Last night I got home, fed the cats, let them out onto the balcony and made myself a nice tuna nicoise salad with basalmic vinegrette. After finishing that off, I was sitting watching the news on the TV and I started to notice my eye sight not being normal. I had trouble seeing clearly as if I had a split screen. Then I started to feel nauscious and thought I might toss up my dinner. My cats came inside and I thought I would go lay down. I felt a little better but as soon as I stood up to give my cats their treats, I felt bad again. So I gave them their treats, locked up everything and went to bed at around 8pm. Was awoken to upstairs neighbor around midnight but fell back asleep. Awake this morning and the headache started to come back when I got to work so I took some ibruprophen. Not feeling too good and if it continues, I will likely try to struggle to finish the day but will go home if feel really badly. I guess not getting enough sleep the last 4-5 days, drinking coffee on Monday and stress from work/life has impacted me. Hope to feel better.

  9. Sorry you're feeling so poorly SMM.. sounds like a migraine. Ugh.. not fun. Take care of yourself and if going home is the thing to do... by all means - do that ! Be careful on the roads though.

  10. (((Gini)))) I'm so sorry about your grandmother. I couldn't help but laugh at Taco throwing up on your toast, though! Maybe he was trying to take your mind off things? :)

Joan, that's great that you were able to meet up with MCW last night! I wonder how many different TDKers she met in total during her grand adventure?

Tina, I'm so happy the kittens all found good homes - that's awesome. And congrats on things going so well with your new boyfriend, too!

Karin, I hope you feel better soon! Stress can cause all kinds of havoc on your system. I hope you can transfer to the communications team if that would suit you better - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I played tenni this morning with my team. I didn't play very well, but I got some exercise and saw my friends, so that was nice. I'm hoping GG is feeling well enough tonight to come to the gym - he came down with a cold on Sunday night and skipped a couple of days at the gym.
I tried calling Panera Friend's husband back today, but I somehow got disconnected so I sent him an email to let me know what kind of work he needs from me, hours, etc. I should hear back from him soon.

  11. Morning GD ! Oh- it's probably afternoon by you. Glad you got some tennis in. Exercise always helps me feel better.

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  12. Yep, it's 1:30 here - 3 more hours til work at the gym.

It's nice getting some exercise again - I'm feeling nice and sore from yesterday.
    How are you doing?

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  13. Doing ok.... want to be doing better. LOL

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  14. Don't we all, 2p! :)

I ran out and met my Panera Friend for tea this afternoon. Her husband called me while we were at tea so I spoke briefly to him. He needs me to work at his office anywhere between 1 and 3 hours a day, he can't really predict exactly how much. His son who works with him is going to contact me and go over everything. Those hours will come in handy - it's not too much and I can fit it in around my tennis.

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  15. LOL I think so GD... I'm working my way there. Not as brave as you... but then I only have one job.

As long as you are happy, and still have time for your tennis. Just don't wear yourself out - especially if you start taking on dog-sitting clients again. :)

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  16. I won't wear myself out - it's not worth it. If it's just a couple of hours here or there for Panera Friends Husband, tha's not too much - and I only have 28 hours at the gym. I didn't get to talk to Auntie Ellen today about working some for her husband, but I talk to her all the time, so I'll ask about it next time I see her or talk to her.

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  17. What did you find out about extending your hours at the gym? Did I miss that?

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  18. They don't have the money to extend them. Once the morning shift opens up, I can have that one, but it doesn't make sense for them to have me come in at 3:00 when the other person works til 5:00. I'd really rather work elsewhere for extra and flexible hours than have to get here every day at 3:00 anyway.
